Just tested it with mono for windows and it works. So it will run on Mono for Mac or Linux, too.

Attached to this post. The .bin is in the .zip. The .bmp is there for preview.

Attached you will find a zip which is flashable via CWM.

Only thing you have to do is replacing the file "logo.img". Therefore save your favorite logo (480x182) as RAW (e.g. with GIMP or Photoshop) and rename it to "logo.img". Put it in the zip and confirm replacing the present file if asked so. Afterwards copy to SD and install via CWM.

Here's the current boot logo I'm using. Found it online and modified to fit.

The bootscreen.zip file contains the bootscreen.bin file to use with directions on the OP.

I callit VaderDroid XD

I attach the .bin in case someone would like to use it. Just remember to unzip it. and then rename it to mylogo.bin

(or use directly the image and pass it through the program in the op)

made some splash for CM9 for me, think it's better than the red M from Moto, found this picture somewhere don't know the owner.
any request from owner to del it or whatever send me a pm

I flash it with Splash Tool this works fine for me

i only test it with epsylons 16.4 defy build but i think it's possible, in a preview post someone say it works with defy+, and i don't think the location changed in defy+ CM9 builds. make a backup and ur save don't can test it have only a green lense defy and don't want a defy+ build with no camera ^^

if it work, it's very simple to make the splash picture convert every jpg with irfanview just set the right dimension.
