Now i have succeeded in installing the europe rom and then ota to global, after factory reset, device showed 2 imeis in dialer. Ill order a dual sim tray and see if everythings working fine.Dual SIM is supported for Global ROM and EU ( I think, not sure) but definitely not Indian ROM.
I used USB 2.0 all across and haven't tried 3.0 . After Part 2 , i did not see Dual SIM enabled , I had to get the Global ROM as indicated below to actually see the Dual SIM.
ONE MORE THING - I read somewhere that you need the Dual SIM Tray with two SIM cards in it when you are updating it to Global ROM to get the two IMEIs show up.

Then I let the system update itself by going to the settings and checking for updates, i think the next upgrade enabled dual sim for me. I did this all the way to Android 13 and dual sim was retained.
Mine went from KB2007 to KB2003 once I converted to EU. The model number changing is normal
after doing global rom, i didnt have dual sims, and only single sim was being shown in dialer as well. But factory resetting it did the trick.Try to do factory reset after flashing global rom and then see in the dialer menu *#06#, I can see two imeis. Altho i dont have dual sim tray so my phone only says "only one sim card inserted" while trying to swtich network, i have ordered dual sim tray, after that ill update if everything working fine or not
Yes, it worked for me, someone else in this thread also said that.
Then I am not sure if u will get dual sims or not, the steps of this guide included flashing Europe fastboot rom and then (important part) flashing global rom via local update ( and then u can update to 13 )

Nope I haven't gotten it yet, altho upgrading to oxygen os 12 removed the dual sim somehow, dialer says null on second imei (but it does show 2 sim option in the notif bar), does it happen with u too or u don't have any second IMEI altogether?I'm unlucky

IN2017 is Tmobile version of the phone and updates are late and you cant sideload an update because it is not available on carrier versions of the phone. Converting it to International version gives access to the latest updates, and some other features that weren't available to Tmobile version. If you do this method, you will lose Safetynet which is the ability to use bank apps and etc. So after converting you have to lock the bootloader if you wish to do anything related to banking.Thanks for the guide!! I just submitted my request to T-Mobile to unlock my boot loader so now I play the waiting game...
In the meantime, can someone please clarify what does converting from IN2017 to International achieve? Ultimately my goal is to flash a custom ROM - not sure if I can do this directly after unlocking my boot loader.
