I did, but it's currently not detecting my SIM card, which works fine in my Nexus 4. I suppose I'll try flashing a few different radio packages. Related to that, any idea why most of them have two files, but some just have radio.img?

So after i did this method I downloaded via OTA the 5.1 upgrade and then i got stuck at bootloader.
I already tried everything, i flashed several stock firmware but so far no success and still stuck at bootloader :(
Im using a XT1032 16GB EU retail.
Does anyone have the same problem?

Factory Reset possible?

Great guide. Two tiny questions: Does this method allow you to Factory Reset in the normal way? (Settings and/or Recovery). If so, can I follow your guide with my current XT1032 GPe 5.1?

I'm asking this because I can't do a Factory Reset (error message on the recovery screen robot). Reset must be done via fastboot (mfastboot erase userdate & cache).
I followed one of those Youtube guides and the guy didn't mentioned this.
Flashed GPe 4.4.4 KitKat and the two updates jumped immediately one after another.

I'm really enjoying GPe and i'm planning to stay here for a long time, but I really want a clean installation that can make use of the new anti theft system included in 5.1

I'm on stock recovery, no root, just unlocked bootloader, thanks in advance.

I fixed the process for me

I know this thread is a little old, but i came here just to tell that the line of code "mfastboot continue" was ruining everything for me. My XT1033 was rebooting and this line was telling it to continue booting the system that was already installed. When i removed this line, everything went smoothly.

This was my last try to install slimkat 4.4.2. It was not giving any signal, but when i did this GPE->Slimkat, everything is working now.

Thanks for this guide! Just mention that this line is optional for some users.

(i didn't read all the pages, so if this was already mentioned, forgive me)
