The Eu ntcode is simple. I trashed my ftm partition and that was a real problem. It was then replaced with a ftm copy from a Eu phone. Now that I know what I'm doing there I can easily change (hex edit) my ftm to Tmob TMO_US "1","310,260,FFFFFFFF,FFFFFFFF,FF" and make sure of the corresponding cfg changes. Doing it now.

Today is Friday so I'm gonna let this set for a bit. But I'm pretty damn sure that Ntcodes don't have anything to do with logging on to a US mobile carrier. The Verison kid has/had the exact problem and he certainly never spoke of ntcode problems. This is something different. I"m an old IBM system programmer and I can usually know from where a problem' coming from. It ain't ntcodes. Could it be your modem.bin can't shake hands?

I just discovered a fix for this.

Go to engineering menu *#546368#*500# (500 is the number of your phone variant, aka 500EM)

Go to SVC Menu
Go to MID Info

There you can see and modify IMEI, WIFI MAC, BT MAC... and NT Code.

(is from my V35, but must work for V50 too)
Check the proper code on the list below for the firmware u got flashed, and overwrite it.

Hello I tried to flash all the binary files to A side partition.. When I went to master reset i got a few errors in the recovery mode log, and its stuck at Lg v50 logo. Ive already rebooted into EDL and reflashed all 7 bin files once again but still stuck at lv50 logo. not sure what else to do but restore the original backup files.

any ideas?

how do i know if my verity disabled correctly? I tried months ago but it wouldnt disable, but it was different method than described here.

One thing I did notice was that in the software version listed on my phone after I finished is V500PM30a. Should this be V500EM after completion? If so I wonder if it is because vbmeta remained locked? I thought I unlocked it but am not sure at this point.

Do we need to overwrite both vbmeta_a and vbmeta_b? I only overwrote all files with the _a slot extension that was being used by the bootloader. Would that be the case for all the other .bin files as well? Do we need to replace both _a and _b slots?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Note: I'm attempting to get this working on the T-mobile network and have the Sprint version of the phone.

no, the V500PM30a is correct.. I cant help getting data working on tmo... I highly advise you to repeat the following steps :

try to go in the hidden menu (*#546368#*500#) > field test > modem settings > lte-a ca setting > all enable
(this is important.. it actually reload some modem setting)

or in the *#*#4636#*#* menu and make sure your preferred network type make sense.
or in the same menu, the 3 dot option on the top right corner > select radio band > United states

after that, make sure the network mode in settings is correct for your carrier.

I've made some easy files to flash in QFIL for sprint owner. This will give you a debloated A11 on your phone. Took me a while, but i finally got deepsleep working.. So I feel like this is worth sharing. I will likely update that guide with the korean android 11 once it's released.

This was tested by Arkadii on TG. (and myself)

What's broken: (using the canadian OP provided, I lightly tested the EU OP, so I can't provide a list for it)

Step 0.

Extract All downloaded zip.​

You should have 7 bin files.​

Step 1.

Unlock bootloader...​

there's another guide for that on the g8 forum​

Step 2.

Disable vbmeta. (Important! Likely needed for other crossflashing roms too)​

- Get in QFIL​

- backup vbmeta and abl​

- Flashback the eng abl from the unlock bootloader guide (from step 1)​

- boot fastboot on your phone and plug it in your pc (note which slot (a or b) you are using right now)​

- Using the backed up vbmeta, open cmd and enter the following command:​

- fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.bin​

- fastboot oem edl​

​

Step 3.

Make a backup of everything you flash on. ​

(use the read option before using the write one lol, don't forget to rename the file before switching to another one)​

Flash the following partitions in QFIL, (using the downloaded files)​

your phone should have already rebooted in EDL with the last command.​

Product, Vendor, System, OP, ABL, Boot, DTBO​

Step 4.

Master Reset..​

The same factory reset combo from any other lg phone..​

some user report simply holding vol- + power works for them too...​

Step 5.

Setup the device..​

Everything should be working except deep sleep.​

Step 6.
Fixing deep sleep....

Boot in EDL again and flash the following modem in QFIL:​

Reboot the phone.​

Go in network tab..​

Switch the network mode to "GSM / WCDMA / LTE auto" ...​

This one works for me.. you might have to put airplane mode or go in the *#*#4636#*#* and try different preferred network type.. (5g will never work on this phone....)​

Step 8.

Enjoy!​

For other people enjoying early access to other A11 roms, or even Nemo's rom! The modem from step 6 should work fine with them (and will solve deepsleep issue). If you are a rom maker, please refer to this thread when adding the modem to your rom

I do this from android v11 korean (v500n) to android v10 european (I download EU files from russian forum, 4pda), I use diferent files from russian forum for flashing v10 EU android
1. unlock bootloader
2. install magisk
3. root with magisk
4. install TWRP over magisk (you need right TWRP for korean versions)
5. flash files with TWRP
6. boot
now thinking about flash files over TWRP again but use android 11 files from this forum

The OP partition won't work with the v500n

you flash over QFIL or TWRP ? in russian forums I found solution crossflash v500n (korean) to v500em android 10 (european) but russian guys using TWRP (you need right version TWRP for korean v500n) to install android 10 img files and disabling encrytion with zip file (flashing over TWRP)
once again - first you need unlock bootloader, install magisk, root, install TWRP
I thinking about change russian maked android 10 img files to files from this forum to flash android 11 files
russians using only 5 files to crossflash
boot_eu.img
OP_OPEN_EU.img
product_a.img
system_a.img
vendor_a.img

but if you say OP file not working....maybe I dont touch system

I have 2 files from android 11 v500n LGU+ KDZ its totc.cfg and cust_path_mapping.cfg, you need alway replace totc.cfg,cust_path_mapping.cfg after flashing partitions if you using TWRP crossflash. maybe if I use totc.cfg, cust_path_mapping.cfg from v500n android 11 with OP file from this forum it will be ok ?

ok, so the abl got backed up when i unlocked the booloader anyway, but i dont understand what is engabl, is it the attached abl file (modded) from the bootloader unlock guide?

Also what is booting fastboot using slot a or b? how do i know which one i got?

I would for example use the parition manager of the system_a/vendor_a/product_a if i was on slot a?

And in later step I'm more confused

I dont get if it means open from the adb file or open the file that has vbmeta backup? or does it mean back the vbmeta backup in the adb file?? I'm really confused
I get all the flashing happens from the QFIL when my phone is in edl mode I use firehose file programmer area
And then in tools I choose the manage partition but the steps are missing so it's a bit hard to follow this guide step by step
