#Sorry OOT

i'm curious
S7 Verizon version and Global Version one of the differences is on Sim card .when i checked the Verizon mainboard and the global has similarity, especially for Simcard socket. I want to know, how to activate the another sim card on Verizon? also i had checked from Nova launcher setting, there is option to chose simcard 1 and 2, but when i chose sim 2, access denied message shown.

I don't know, but really really off topic. Please start a new thread for your question. :)

I can't get package disabler pro to work after purchasing it. It says it's trying to verify activation and stays there no matter what. Their site says it doesn't support rooted devices. What am I missing? Came here from the guide to root my Galaxy S7.

Nevermind, I can't read. I thought this thread was linked in the root guide to remove even more bloat. This thread is for if you don't want to root? The link says, "Deep debloat: freeze all bloat using my separate guide (includes flashable update)." and links to this thread... but this thread seems completely different than what the link text states. I was expecting a flashable update, instead it's a guide for people that aren't rooted.

Like it says in the main post, this thread is a follow-up guide to debloating a rooted S7 or S7 Edge. If Package Disabler Pro does not work for you, try Titanium Backup (that's what I used after root).

Yeah I'm an idiot. I need to go to bed or something, long day and I'm trying to do all this before bed so I can mess around with my phone while I'm trying to fall asleep lol. Sorry about this.
No worries -- root is exciting, but certainly can (and probably should) wait for a clear head. Skimming over the root guide can land you some frustration. Take a load off!

For sure. Rest before new techniques..
I have some horror stories about flashing the firmware for a different device on my note 3 and almost hard bricked. Was just tired and forgot what exact folder the tar was in and flashed a tar for a note 2.
Good thing it's almost impossible to hard brick a Samsung. But it's possible.

Which package disables accessories under settings? I have a Samsung LED cover that doesn't work now. Was able to figure out what to unfreeze for everything else but I need a hand with this one.

Edit: NFC Services needs to be enabled if anyone is wondering. Solved it by unfreezing a ton of stuff until it worked then freezing half of it, rebooting and seeing if it still worked. Eventually worked it down to NFC Services, which gives you the accessories option under settings where you can set your LED cover options.

Do I just save the list of recommended apps to disable as an xml file and import? It didn't seem to work, or do I have to check them off 1 by 1?

The Package Disabler Pro app does not work when you have root, use Titanium Backup if you want to do things manually. Flash my zip if you want it done automatic. Make sure you read the original post again, which clarifies this.

I'm not rooted (anymore), I saw package disabler had a import feature - just couldn't get it to import.

I can confirm No Bootloop On the T-Mobile Galaxy s7 SM-G930T When flashing the extreme debloat2 zip.
After flashing it. It did restart like 3 mins after the flash boot then I got a notification saying "you scripts has run, your specified setting have been set" or something like that. All good so far over here. Time to unfreeze some stuff

Hi and thanks for everything. I have two questions. First, I was wondering if this "deep" debloat includes the "fix" package from the fix+debloat? The reason I ask is because I noticed that with the fix+debloat package, you are able to select "fix+debloat" OR just simply "fix." And of course whichever option you select is reflected in the package name. However, with this "deep" debloat package, I do not see the "fix" label in the package name. So basically I'm asking, is this essentially a "fix+deepdebloat," or just a "deepdebloat".

My next question is if it does NOT include the "fix" package, then would it be suggested to first install the "fix+debloat" package, or just do the "fix" package and then come back here and install this "deepdebloat" package?

Thanks again

The zip debloat V2 zip is just that a debloat zip. I would recommend you flash the fix zip, make a backup then debloat.

Thanks for your reply. However, I have noticed that in the instructions the developer has called it "the fix/debloat script flashable ZIP package." He specifically called it "fix/debloat," so now this arises some confusion. Are you sure this does not include the "fix" package? Because then wouldn't the developer simply call it "the debloat script flashable ZIP package?"

And okay, so if it does indeed not include the "fix" package, then you recommend installing ONLY the fix package and NOT the fix+debloat, if we are going to end up installing the deepdebloat anyways, correct?

Thanks for your reply again

It used to include it, now this one only debloats.
Go to the first link on the OP. On that page the first download is fix V15 i believe. Get that and flash it, now setup your wifi again and back it up. Unfreeze any frozen apps before flashing the zip and backup. As for the zip on this thread it only debloats. I looked at the updater already, thats all that's there. Speaking of which being able to read and write those is priceless. I think I made a how to about that forever ago.

Please tell me more about backing it up and why that would require wifi. (how to back up)

Please tell me more about unfreezing frozen apps before flashing the zip. Why would I need to do that? Will they automatically freeze from the fix package or is it something else I have already done?

What exactly is priceless? Being able to read and write updaters? What exactly is an updater?

And last question: If I WERE to install both the fix+debloat AND the deepdebloat, would that have any effect (glitches overlapping, etc) compared to if I had just installed the fix package and then the deepbebloat package as you suggested?

Thanks again. Really I just want to learn and understand as much of this as I can.

one of the items removed/disabled in this pack breaks ATTs WiFi calling, I'm not actually sure which item this was...

I followed the steps in this guide to manually freeze most of the apps. I left the Google ones, and the ones for Wi-Fi calling intact. I'm having two issues:

I installed rootcloak2 and Airwatch Container for email. I added the app to rootcloak's blocked apps, but Airwatch Container force closes on startup. Could this be because of one of the frozen services?

I flashed the V4A version recommended in your post, but I don't see any difference in audio after turning it on. Is there something else that needs to be done?

You need to configure using a dolby or viper4 application. Its a long process and it changes completely the way the phone sounds.

Use this for debloat and saving battery but the phone is pretty much like using a samsung s4. It becomes totally unresponsive over a period. To me if you are rooting and want speed go with http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...guide-to-fix-s7-lag-root-s7-variants-t3441715. The user also uses some of the features from this thread but aimed at better responsive phone.

Root it if you only want the audio hack and for debloating. Else i will stick to stock which is way faster than rooted phones after over two months of use alternating between stock and root.
