No you cant, you need to get to B182 before flashing B361.

Try wiping partition and a factory rest and see if you get the B182 update. If not, you can download the B182 update and flash it via dload but if that does not work, you can try doing it via the Hisuite and Updater method.
Thanks factory reset worked

Finding a working L09C636 oeminfo is where I went looking but ended up giving up because I was not able to find one. If you are able to find one that works, let us know.

Hi there, thanks for the great guide.
Have finally removed the Vodafone junk on the phone.
However on the last step the updater is showing that B166 is the latest rather than B182, any ideas? I am going to try B166 and see if I get prompted again. Am in the UK so have set everything to UK.
Have factory reset everything already.

Ah found this: http://www.carbontesla.com/2016/11/download-huawei-p9-b182-marshmallow-update-europe/

May try to update it manually.

Another person ran into the exact same situation as you (see post #21), if you read through the forum, the fix was to do a wipe partition and factory reset after updating to B166 and after this you should get the B182 update via the Updater in the settings menu.

Yep have done this but says no update. I.e. get to B166, wipe cache and factory reset. I did both from the hold up key and power on menu.

After flashing oeminfo-huawei-p9-eval09-c432.zip and now trying to flash dload-huawei-p9-eval09-eva-b136.zip again. but am unable to

When it boots its saying: Your device has failed verification and may not work properly.

When holding both volume buttons and power button to flash dload-huawei-p9-eval09-eva-b136.zip it gets to 5% and says: Software install failed!

Have you extracted the zip file? Should be a dload or something folder on the root of the SD card.

Yeah I did the exact same thing I did on step 1,
Ah ok I didn't do that first time and remember it showed an error after 5%.

Hey guys
On L09C900B136, but can't boot into TWRP after flashing it. I've installed version twrp-3.0.2-0-eva.img straight off TWRP's website, is there another versions I can try? I'm using Linux so only have access to fastboot.
Booted into TWRP fine when on b171. Now on b136, no TWRP.
Thanks
Ian

i am on the EVA-L19C20B150 firmware but i decided to take the risk to upgrade and just completed it. now i am on android 7 but my build is now changed to EVA-L09 instead.

tested the dual sim capabilities and it is working fine. will also be monitoring the battery.. Just did a factory reset after install Nougat so it should be pretty accurate with not much files in the system.

That is the correct version of TWRP. I had issues trying to get in to TWRP sometimes but eventually you will be able to get into there. What I find that works best is to have the phone completely switched off, hold volume up and power, when you see the Huawei logo pop up immediately let go of the power button but keep holding the volume up. If this does not work, you try flashing TWRP again and try again. If this also fails, some people were able to get TWRP working by flashing the stock eRecovery, then flash TWRP again afterwards. You may be able to find the eRecovery image on the net or on this forum somewhere or you can use something like Huawei Firmware Extractor and grab the Recovery.img from the UPDATE.APP file.

Yeah, there has been a few reports of people flashing L19 firmware on L09 and vise versa without any issues, however, the only thing that may may be impacted is NFC. Since L19 does not have NFC, it may crash if you attempt to use it if you flash a L09 firmware. With L09 going to L19, you lose the NFC option in the settings.

Just wanted to say thank you for an excellent guide - worked a treat on my UK O2 branded phone and I'm now on Nougat with the OTA update to B378.

So far i still have not found NFC function on my phone.

I think for this set of instruction to flash,

Main concern is oem info for EVA-L19 and also full set of rom for EVA-L19.

I tried afew but cant work thus settled down on EVA-L09.

So far so good. Hope it maintains. Quite happy with it.
