[Guide] Downgrading to 2.3.3 from 2.3.5(HBOOT 1.16 / 2.00)

This post may makes Windows user to downgrade their Incredible S HBOOT to 1.13 easier. Take a look here. Left click tester.

Does anyone think the latest Gingerbread with Sense 3.0 is too bad? Graphic glitches, working slow, etc.

Now here's a guide to help you how to downgrade to 2.3.3 . I've tried and work.

1. Please go to htcdev.com to unlock your boot loader and make your own GOLD CARD.(warranty will be void.) (Temp root program "zergRush" from revolutionary is not working. FeedBack: Hellions with BLUE flames !)

2. Prepare and flash recovery by using fast boot.

3. Install Superuser (Please download from htt p://androidsu.com/superuser/)
(Don't wipe the system but unlocking boot loader will wipe your data.)
4. Boot to system and tick the USB Debugging in Settings --> Application --> Development

5. Download misc_version and push it to /data/local/tmp (Command:

adb push misc_version /data/local/tmp

)

6. Type

adb shell

and type "su" if the first symbol is $

7. Go to /data/local/tmp and

 chmod 777 misc_version

8. Type

./misc_version -s 1.00.000.0

(1.00.000.0 can be changed to the version that you want to flash)

9. If the screen showed "Patching and writing to Partition 17" and go back to #, type

reboot bootloader

10. Use

fastboot getvar all

to check the main version hsas been changed.

11. Use fast boot to relock the boot loader by using

fastboot oem lock

(Please press the vol down button at the same time)

12. Select FASTBOOT on the phone

13. Type

fastboot oem rebootRUU

14. The phone will reboot and appear sliver HTC logo and insert your gold card.

15. Type

fastboot flash zip ROM.zip

(Please change the name!)

16. When you see "hboot pre-update", please type the command(the Step 15 one) again.

17. Wait...

18. Type

fastboot oem boot

to enjoy your 2.3.3 ROM

That's all.

Nice job!
I just want to clarify something, before I go ahead and try this guide.
So you unlock the Hboot using HTCDev guide, then you flash CWM recovery and from CWM you flash Superuser app?
Last time I tried installing Superuser from CWM it failed. Something to do with the binaries...Has this app been updated?

I was use 4EXTRecovery to install. Where you download the superuser zip? I downloaded Superuser from androidsu.com and the version is 3.0.7 .

Can you give me a link to the one you use? Or is it the same? Not sure what Superuser app version it was...

2. I've upload the superuser that I used.

3. I had made my gold card in another way because I'm using Mac. But I checked the link that you gave is also working with Incs.

EDIT-I INSTALL AGAIN THE STOCK RUU 2.3.3,AND NOW ALL ITS OK

My Icd S is stuck, only able to have fastboot and hboot state and turned to S-ON by mistake : mainver : 2.32.1010.1, hboot-1.09.000 and cidnum HTC__044 flashing stock RUU always failed (12 remote signature verify failed) ...

Hey. Don't change to android-info.txt in ROM. When you ran the RUU at the first time, it said CID check failed. At this time, you have to create a gold card to make to device to ignore the CID checking.

yeah and to me hapen that,put out the batery,go to fastboot usb,and install the ruu 2.3.3 again
