since im a newbie to this

my current problem is

Bought my phone from indonesia (xperia z c6603)
i live in srilanka
my phone still in android 4.1.2
no 4.2 or 4.3
my customization no 1274-7574


so i would like to change my customization no to singapore generic
my question is can i stop at step B?
if i stop at step B will i get the update that i wanted?
is it mandatory to go to step C (creating an FTF file with Flashtool)

flashtool can't access the documents and settings folder. can i just move the "blob_fs" or "db" folder somewhere else the flashtool can access?

I dont know how get it, Im from bolivia but my phone first time start in chinese or russian and I chosse Spanish Language, I google It and cant find, can use any for xperia sp c5302 indian,russian,etc? or I can brick my phone?

Download whichever firmware you want and use Flashtool to flash it to your device.
I will not provide step by step instructions, as it's off topic in this thread and you're also in the completely wrong section for asking for assistance with your device.

You should ask for help in the q&a section for your device, after first searching to make sure somebody hasn't already answered your question.

EDIT - Nevermind. I just downloaded the files again through update engine. Seems like the FILE_280704506 - 721,856 KB was not a complete one. Got it right this time.

I am using a Xperia SP C5302 phone with the new firmware update 12.1.0.A.266 (Generic IN).

Last night I updated my phone using Sony update engine. I followed the exact same method as you explained to create the ftf. Everything goes well but I just end up getting a ftf file of about 15 MB. I am using latest version of the flashtool.(0.9.14.0). Seems like something is wrong.

I tried it about 10 times but got the same result. Tried with the older version of flashtool too.
Please help.

FYI. I have 5 files in the blob_fs folder (excluding those tiny ICON_ files)

FILE_280703618 - 15,636 KB
FILE_280704279 - 88 KB
FILE_280704506 - 721,856 KB

I copied all the above files to decrypt.

I have attached a screenshot of the files I got after decrypting (before bundle creation).

PLEASE HELP!!!

Move the sin files over to the firmware content side and click "create"

Heya!

Just tried to Convert the BLOB files with Flashtool but it doesn't show something in the given part.

Select the 'Source Folder' (copy-pasting this path will not work):
- Sony PC Companion (Windows XP): C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sony Mobile\Update Engine\db\13740270\blob_fs
- Sony PC Companion (Windows Vista/7/8): C:\ProgramData\Sony Mobile\Update Engine\db\13740270\blob_fs

It won't show something here even tho there are indeed some files in the directory but they have no file format in their name.

Sorry, my bad! I actually disconnected my phone too early and it canceled the download somehow even tho it said "Downloading software..."
It now downloads some files, sorry for that

This is the first time I'm doing this, so I'm a bit confused. Where you say I should copy all except the .ta files, there is an xml file. But when I include it, the program stops. So I guess you only have to include the .sin files? Maybe you should clear that up in the OP.

OMG!!!! Looked everywhere for this answer!!! Downloaded flashtool 3 times and gave up had to use ancient flashtool version, xda rocks!!!
