I noticed this guide looks to be ONLY for the LG E980. Here is how to Recovery International (not USA) Devices. It should also work on the E980 with no issue as well.

How to flash ROM:
1) Download the Rom You need for your phone. They are at the link below!
http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+Optimus+G+Pro/Stock/

2) Download LG mobile support tool and Install it. (It will open up when its done just CLOSE IT OFF)
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/client...2CAppSetup.exe

3) Download / Install FlashTool (R&D Test Tool)
http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=X.../Programs/

4) Install LG drivers (can skip if you already installed)
http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=X.../Programs/

5) Power off your G pro, press Volume Up + Volume Dn keys and then plus-in the usb cable (enter to a download mode)

6) Extract FlashTool and run UpTestEX.exe

7) In R&D Test Tool window,
Select Type = 3GQCT (top left hand side)
PhoneMode = DIAG (top right hand side)
Select kdz file = click to select your LG stock rom *.kdz
Click "Normal web upgrade test" (bottom right hand side)
Then another window "read phone information" pop up, click "Upgrade Start" button
wait a few seconds, another window "Select Country & Language" pop up,
=> Country=Republic of Korea
=> Language=English
you can click ok to proceed

8) All Done and wait for finish!

9) Be Sure that after flashing to perform a reset as for some reason flashing this does not remove what was there before until you reset.

I`m not sure if I should Make a Thread or not, I think we should add this to the 1st post.

I'm having issue trying to achieve this.

Find that LG entry in Device Manager, click on Properties, Advanced and then change the COM port to COM41 and close/save.

You have to have your phone plugged into your computer while in download mode for it to show up its the most easist step.

Also that guide is for the AT&T E980 Version only.

Have you tried hard reset using hardware keys?

Thanks to everyone for all the help.

I think Windows 8 has issues involving connecting the device to the computer. So I am now using a computer with windows xp and it is working properly. I was able to change to COM41 on the port settings. Now when I use the LGflashtools. It says ready and I plug the device in download mode and nothing happens. I have tried taking the device out and putting it back in still nothing. It still stuck in download mode and lgflashtools still says ready.

What now?

Does this relock the bootloader? If not is there an easy way to get it relocked? The phone is my wife's and she has no need for an unlocked bootloader.

When you flash back to stock, everything is like you bought it at the store. Locked (or non-rooted) .

Thanks, one more question I saw that was asked in an earlier post. Everything went fine, but now the phone won't register on the network. I cannot manually input apns since it won't save them. Any suggestions?

Disregard. Somehow the SIM got fried during the flash and had to be replaced.

I think this will work for me but I can't download zip file to extract TOT file successfully. Eve time I download and extract for get error message file is corrupt. Downloaded about 10 times every time same message.

Anyone have TOT file for F240L would be really helpful.

Nope. Mess with the bootloader and you'll risk losing download mode.

WELL I THINK THIS HAPPENED TO ME!

I had TWRP installed, and since installed CM10.1, after testing for a while I decided to go back to stock but found out TWRP couldn't read its own backup because the card isn't formatted FAT32! how absurd is that. So I tried to remove TWRP with Freegee using the backup Freegee made but all that did was get rid of TWRP for CWM.

Now I can get into CWM, but not Download mode!

So for now I have:

CM10.1 (works fine)
CWM Recovery (can boot into)
Download mode doesnt work anymore (just boots CM10.1 when I plug in the power cord)

How can I get back to stock now? any help would be appreciated.

I realized there aren't any guides [in English] around here to help rooted folks that soft bricked their LG PRO to restore it back to factory settings. This should be useful if you got your phone stuck on the AT&T or the LG logo. Especially now that we don't have an unlocked bootloader or a recovery to reocver our soft brick.

Anyway, to start, a little disclaimer: I hold no responsibility if this method renders your phone completely useless, or burns and makes some nice fireworks. I'm simply writing this to document the process that worked for me. Use at your own discretion.

Dislcimaer 2: this method will wipe out your internal sdcard, apps data, everything! It'll restore the phone back to the way you got it from AT&T. Might even lose your cell unlock status (not verified). so keep these unlock codes handy just in case.

Note to linux users  like myself: get your a** on windows or run it from a VM. VirtualBox with Win7 works fine.

    Steps:

    Download
    1. LGFlashTools v1.5. Anything less won't work. Mirror: HERE
    2. DLL file for LGE980
    3. Drivers
    4. The stock image file
Thanks to IOMonster for hosting these biga** files.

    Install
    1. Install the LG drivers downloaded above.
    2. Install LGFlashTools v1.5 (but don't run it)
    3. Extract the DLL and the TOT files from above and put them in a nice tidy directory

    Drivers initialization
    1. Put the phone into download mode. (Turn off device, keep pressing volume down while plugging in the micro usb cable. If this doesn't work, try holding both volume keys instead)
    2. Let the phone initialize and install the drivers. Once done, in Device manager, you should see the LG phone listed under COM ports (something along these lines).
    3. Find that LG entry in Device Manager, click on Properties, Advanced and then change the COM port to COM41 and close/save.
    4. Unplug your phone! Important step.

    LGFlashTools
To get this tool to work, you'll need to do a few tricks.
    1. Set the computer's date to some time in July 2012 or before.
    2. Disconnect the internet
    3. Find a serial number or register key from somewhere on the web (a google search for lgflashtools serial will yield some results). Can't help you here and please don't share any keys in this thread or get us in trouble.
    4. Execute the LGFlashTools. It should ask you for a key, put it in. Now you should see a dialog where you can load the DLL file and the TOT files that you extracted earlier. Put them both in here. Click ok

    Flashing
    5. There is a yellow arrow on the top left. Click on it to initialize the process. Once done, it should say "ready/finished" or whatever.
    6. Put the phone in download mode again, and plug it into the USB port. LG FLash Tools should start flashing it automatically. When it's done, it'll automatically reboot into your stock AT&T rom and all of your data and internal sdcard files are gone.

    Profit
