This method worked, but the phone doesn't reboot into recovery.

Anyone got a tip?
I tried TWRP recovery and XZRecovery. Also NDR Utils doesn't work.
Root checker says phone is properly rooted......

Ah man, thanks for the input, but that was all sorted. I got it figured out soon after I posted the comment: I flashed a boot.img with recovery via flashtool in fastboot.
After that it all went well. Already flashed a ROM on there! :)

Hi Guys cant seem to get recovery working here. Bootloader locked. Any suggestions? Tried it using pc with latest adb drivers from flashtool, tried the app no go. When I try to access the recovery all I get is a black screen. Good thing is I could still boot in normal. Help.

I am desperate!

Hi guys!
I'm wondering if it works on Sony Xperia Z5 with Android 6.0? I am desperately looking for how to root my phone easily with an app like you made but I find nothing. Is there any possibility to root a Z5 with anodird 6.0 without TWRP and all the process that they explain here [GUIDE] Sony Xperia Z5 - UNLOCK / ROOT / TWEAKS - OS 5.1.1 / 6.0 ? If there is not any easy way so how can I downgrade to 5.1.1? I didn't find anything about it. I appreciate very much if someone can help me with this issue.
Thank you.

1.Install latest kingroot.apk from attachment(if you have problem with v4.6, try v4.5) and install it into your handy
2.Open the app and click "try to root"
3.Let It Settle (it can be take 2 min or more according to your internet connection)
4.After 3.Step;install Super-SuMe from attachment
5.Open SuperSu me,give the app permission and click to Blue Button.Let It Settle
6.Now Open SuperSu and update his Binaries (via normal)
7.Thats all.It is very easy. Now your handy has root and SuperSu app.
Did this. For some reason I decided to try first with Kingroot 4.5. Worked like a charm. Just had to manually remove the Kingroot icon and some residual files. IIRC I have tried this once before, ending up with a bootlooping Z. I think the newer (than 4.5) Kingroots have some nasty traps built in and that's the reason. No problems this time. Now just back up the TA, install recovery and some quality time with roms...

So, in a nutshell:

Device: C6603
Android version: 5.1.1 10.7.A.0.228
Kingroot 4.5 (see 1st post, downloaded apk using that link)
Super SuMe (apk from 1st post)
Proceeded as advised
Removed trash manually
All is well.

Hey Guys ...

I need some help please ... today i installed and updated my Sony Tablet Z (SG312) to LP 5.1.1 via this rom zip ...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-tablet-z/orig-development/rom-pre-rooted-lollipop-t3115002

Note: My bootloader is stock Sony still locked

I installed the rom via CWM which i already had installed from updating to JB quite a few years back ... The 5.1.1 ROM installed ok and after rebooting and going through the initial android setup everything looked ok except i had no root. So i used the method detailed in the 1st post of this thread. Which also seemed to go well .. Installed Kingroot, then SuperSU .. updated SuperSU binaries ... all good

As instructed i then uninstalled Kingroot via the in app uninstall option ... the device rebooted and thats where things have all turned very pear shaped.

The device is now stuck in a boot loop, i cant even power off the device and worse i cant get back into CWM to re-flash the rom, having never experienced this sort of issue before i'm really at a loss as to what to do ... any and all help will be much appreciated.

Really really hope this hasn't bricked it ..

Cheers
Jay

Update-1: Have been able to turn device off by holding power button and vol up for around 10 seconds until led flashed 3 times

Update-2: Ok good news managed to get back to 4.3 using flashtool :-

http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-stock-roms-t2240614

I had a Android 4.3 ftf file kicking about and this utility (OSX version) flashed it to my device without using recovery or sony bridge ... panic over for now.
