[GUIDE] Easiest way to unroot HTC Legend

Guyz who are getting CID error , Should make there Sd-Card Gold again i.e Gold Card. And then try LEGEIMG.Zip thingie , it works

Last question . I have put 1.3 now instead 2.03 so when 2.2[update] will be ota , i will be able to update now right even if m not on 2.03 right ? , coz u know 1.3 doesnt update to 2.03.

Actually I don't know if you will... If not.. Then just do this guide again using 2.03 Then you should be able to upgrade..

On the other hand... stay on 1.31... cause when the update is released and rooted.. you might want to root again.. and it is easier to do when you are on 1.31

YES ! U can upgrade !

Yeah goldcard was the issue for me on the 2.03 wwe rom. As i had ext3 on it i simply swapped my sd and used my secondary clean goldcard for it. (not sure if xt3 should give this issue but it did)

I formatted my sdcard to FAT32 only, created goldcard, put LEGEIMG.ZIP to root directory and I get this.

CID incorrect!
Update Fail!

I was having a lot of issues with the instructions. What I finally found was this:

Goldcard + LEGEIMG.zip = No image found
Quickformat + LEGEIMG.zip = No image found
Quickformt FAT32 + LEGEIMG.zip = CID incorrect
Format FAT32 + LEGEIMG.zip = working

Not sure if this will solve everyone's problems but that was my results.

I've a 4GB SDCARD, in past i've FAT 32 + EXT3 + SWAP, but i've deleted with GPARTED SWAP and EXT and i've format with legend, automatically resize FAT32 to 3,72 GB (full size)

How can i solve this problem?

If you root and install software, say SetCPU, and configure it, and then unroot, will the software that demands root to get installed, work poperly?

Hmmm, so the apps that require root just to install it but not to operate should indeed work.

If u take SetCpu, the app is granted superuser access everytime u reboot, so not a chance..

If u take SetCpu, the app is granted superuser access everytime u reboot, so not a chance..

SetCPU needs root privileges every time it is trying to set something.

In windows it ask for formating the drive.
In mac, it´s not recognized.
It´s normal. You are editing the sd card

EDIT: maybe is because i did the goldcard from an usb adapter.
Can i do it with the phone in mode disk ?

I have made a goldcard out if formatted fat 32 sdcard then I put the legeimg.zip file onto the root of the SD card then it loads in hoot. Then it says its checking the file but then I get the CID error !! What am I doing wrong ?
