Hi folks,

Did LGUP flashing stopped midway and left your device soft bricked? Using this simple tip you can revive your device.

Here is the procedure,

  1. Download and install LG drivers and LG BRIDGE
  2. Boot your phone in download mode while connecting to PC
  3. LG Bridge should detect your phone
  4. Now goto "Software update" section
  5. Right hand side to the bottom of the UI, you will find "update error recovery", click on it
  6. Follow the instructions, it will do the rest and restore your phone to working condition.

Hope this simple technique helps you to revive your soft bricked LG G5.

i try to make this today, after i got the nougat update i try to rollback with LGUP and i got the brick it does not boot just load to firmware upgrade all the time try to boot to bootloader could not make anything there since i have the h830. the LG Bridge detect the device true USB but does not make any changes.... after few sec it desconnected says remove the usb and plug again. in the botton dont to the left says no device connected , i am in the firmeware update and not possible to stop loading this if i reboot the device. any idea how to stop booting to the firmware update...
"antirollback is activated" so its impossible to return back to android 6 MM.

This is probably driver issue, remove LGUP, drivers and all the LG software including registery entries. Then install LG driver and LG Bridge, your device should get detected by LG Bridge.

Sent from my LG G5 using XDA Labs
