Saw few users not having App Twin feature on various variant of 6X on EMUI 5.0. I found this trick on Honor 5C Facebook group shared by one of the user claiming this worked for him on rooted phone. I could not test this because I already have this feature on my phones so unable to verify but someone not having this feature on EMUI 5.0 can verify and report.

This needs a rooted phone with root enabled file explorer. (Root browser or ES file manager)
Go to this path:- system/emui/lite/prop/
backup this file - local.prop (copy and paste in internal storage or somewhere)
Now edit the original file under system/emui/lite/prop/ and make below changes.
fw.max_users=1 to 2
fw.show_multiuserui=0 to 1
ro.config.hw_support_clone_app=false to true.

Save the file and Reboot the phone.
Now check in settings option just below battery for app twin.
If it works, please share the feedback so that other users can get benefit of this and if doesn't work, we will explore more option to have this.
If you face any issue, just restore the original file from backup.

Good luck.
Tried this mod with US variant BLN-L24C567B366. At first it didn't work. App Twin wont appear in settings.

Then I noticed the permission has been changed for system/emui/lite/prop/local.prop by the editor when I made the changes. Once the permission is corrected, App Twin is there in Settings now.

Same thing applies to system/emui/oversea/xml/hw_clone_app_list.xml. If any change made with editor, make sure the permission is correct.

Thanks for the tip.
After the changes I get the new menu where I can activate a second whatsapp or a second Facebook. Unfortunately I have a third party launcher (Apex) so I don't know how to access the second whatsapp icon. Any ideas?
Thank you

Once you create twin app, it will create an icon on app drawer with app and number 2.
Something like this

Thank you Shashank, but it only creates the icon on the ORIGINAL launcher. I'm NOT using it. I'm using Apex launcher and therefore I get no second icon.
I would like to find a way to create it manually on the apex lancher because I just tested the second whatsapp account and it works.

May be you can flash manually a file by following Khan's guide in 6X guide section but nit sure if it will work on custom launchers

Today i was just jumping here and there through various root folders until i saw that string (the last one which says "blabla app clone=false", so i decided to switch it to true and rebooted, but it didn't changed anything. In that moment i reminded that some time ago i had read that there was a guide about enabling app twin here, and after a search i see that is made by you bro :) changing other two strings immediately made it available. I'd never figured it out that even those two strings was necessary to enable app twin, i thought that they was referring to multiple users feature on same phone. Thanks!

To those who might be interested, I'm glad to report I was able to place the icon to the second whatsapp account on my desktop with Apex launcher. Here is the tutorial: https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-use-emuis-app-twin-feature-on-any-launcher/
The trick is tu use Tasker.
Yes thia was a guide by xda member long back in feb end or march start.
You can tweak for any app you want but my guide is to bring the feature itself. If this is not enabled that wont help
