Has anyone managed to get Wi-Fi calling to work for the UK? I enabled "VivoVoWiFi_v5" & it gives me VoLTE, but not Wi-Fi calling. I have the global version of the phone & I'm on Vodafone.

Try KDDIVOWIFI_V4 it worked for me in Hot Mobile in Israel.

Hi all tried to do this but stuck in step 2 when i select enable PDC on the App nothing happens i have PDC.exe open and have installed the required files but nothing shows up under devices
It's a driver issue.
Try uninstalling and removing the current drivers and reinstall.

I'm not sure if my next question belongs in this thread. But since my ROG Phone 2 is currently rooted with an unlocked bootloader. Is there a way to retain this without having to flash the RAW FW and relock the bootloader?

Is there a reason I cant re-flash the stock boot.img and then use fastboot to relock the bootloader?

As a test, I reflashed the latest RAW firmware and relocked the bootloader. And as I expected VOLTE was not enabled again. However, after re-rooting and using PDC, I saw that the profile I used to enable VOLTE was still Active. Would all I need to do is reflash the RAW FW then use ADB to enable the settings in the menu?
Try running this in an adb shell, it should not require root:
Code:
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.ims_volte_enable 1
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.volte_avail_ovr 1
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.vt_avail_ovr 1
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.wfc_avail_ovr 1

@HomerSp, it seems it works with your recommended profile on Orange Romania. Volte appears on notification bar and it seems to keep 4G network when in a call. Will test further. Impressive work, thank you man.

Great to hear, thanks for reporting!

Shame that it doesn't seem to be working for all of you, but since we only have a handful of profiles to choose from, I guess it was inevitable that it just wouldn't work for some. I think we could make it work with proper DIAG support, but I have yet to find a way to get that working.

Update - NLVFVoWIFI_v1 profile - Hot Mobile Israel - VOWIFI + VOLTE + UT

---------- Post added at 12:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:49 PM ----------

This method worked for enabling VoLTE on Indian carriers on a Global device purchased in US. It was however not mandatory to set the persist.vendor props. They get cleared when doing a factory reset anyways.
Do you also have VOWIFI? you will need to connect to a WIFI network to check.
What profile did you use?

ROG2 Phones sold in India work with 3 VoLTE carries in the country by default out of the box. However, phones sold outside India don't have the profiles loaded. I just had to load the 3 profiles (Idea,Airtel,RJIL) to get the VoLTE working. Wifi calling on the other hand isn't rolled out extensively on any carrier, so that is something that I cannot test at the moment.

Everything working on EE and Volte and Wifi calling works.
Thank You HomerSp much appreciated

However all incoming calls while Volte or Vowifi are enabled, caller id appears to be showing up as unknown

EE UK
VivoVoWiFi_v5 - VoLTE
NLVFVoWiFi_v1 - VoLTE & VoWiFi

Any chance to connect pdc without root?
Unfortunately not, no. I've tried to make it work, but the USB configuration exposed by the system just doesn't allow the rmnet interface (which is what PDC uses to communicate with the device) to work properly.

Well, that explains why you didn't need the prop changes then :)

:)
And why it works on OnePlus? Is it a design problem ?

So I have an odd one, I followed all the steps and using the one mentioned in op I have enabled volte on ee UK.. However, every incoming call now shows as an unknown caller. Anyone else have this or know if a fix?

Cheers
