Same boat as you. anything I try to get any information with ESF Tools errors out with Operation Timed out, Never been able to view anything from QPST from it even if it has SDM855(0). Is there something we're missing?
When u click properties under the phone tab in qpst does it show u all the info?

I remember it dud initially for me and then it now shows mostly blank info

EDIT: Fixed, just need to reset modem config via bootloader, more info on the diag mode thread

Anyone here with a CN Rom Tencent 128gb version phone? I remember reading that CN rom has B28 enabled however WW rom has it disabled. This can be seen from network guru showing b28 there but unchecked. I found an interesting NV item 65633 LTE Band Preference, was wondering if someone get the value of that on CN rom to see if it is different and maybe would allow WW rom to enable the B28 Band

Cheers

Both screenshots posted from signal guru show b28 enabled on tencent and global versions

Small update: I've basically given up trying to enable more bands. I don't really think it's possible because the hardware doesn't seem to have any more bands than what's listed in, for example, Network Signal guru. I can quite safely say that because I found this in the qxdm logs on my Tencent version:
Code:
2020 Jan  6  11:42:01.532  [B2]  0x18A9  Policy Manager Config Info
Version              = 3
Changed Mask         = 0xFFFFFFFF
Num Sims             = 2
Num Cfgs             = 2
Max Active Voice     = 1
Max Active Data      = 2
Num Sims Modified    = 0
Num Subs Modified    = 0
Feature Modified     = 0
Max Data Modified    = 0
Specialization       = 0
Overall Feature      = 1
Config Index         = 0
Explicit Index       = -1
Lte Band Count       = 4
Hw GW Bands          = 0x000200000FE80183
Hw LTE Bands_0       = 0x000001E2080000DF
Hw LTE Bands_1       = 0x0000000000000000
Hw LTE Bands_2       = 0x0000000000000000
Hw LTE Bands_3       = 0x0000000000000000
Hw TDS Bands         = 0x0000000000000021
Hw RAT Mask          = 0x00000A3C
Cfg
   ------------------------
   |   |Subs   |          |
   |#  |Feature|Rat Info  |
   ------------------------
   |  0|      4|0x00000A3C|
   |  1|      4|0x00000A28|
Hw LTE Bands_0 is the crucial part here as if you convert 0x000001E2080000DF to binary, and reverse it you get the full list of bands supported as a bitmask (B1,B2,B3,B4,B5,B7,B8,B28,B34,B38,B39,B40,B41). This information is stored, temporarily, under /policyman/persisted_items/limited_bands, and will be overwritten on each reboot.

Now, as for why B28 is unticked, I'm not entirely sure on that one. I know it isn't used here at all, and only a handful of carriers/countries actually use it. For those of you who have it ticked: What carrier are you on?

I'm on T-Mobile and have B28 ticked before and after enabling volte on my global device

boost australia (99% same backend as telstra, closer than MVNO)

band 28 works if i force it by disabling all other bands, but settings do not persist upon exiting network signal guru app. I don't know how to test band 28 outside guru when the other bands seems to have priority.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059
attempts via this method or a few variant QXDM methods failed. I have "0" for most of the LTE strings.

DFS reads say all bands enabled which is very strange, but this is a very aggressive money pushing software so i'm not sure how reliable it is.

Has anyone been able to enable volte for Verizon yet? It appears that the proper bands are enabled but I just wanted to know if anyone had been successful before I attempt it.

Soo, this is all well and good that the VoLTE situation was able to be solved through some communication. My question, though, any chance this would work on the US version of the ROG 1? Or anything that might differ step wise?

hi my friend
i have nokia 1 plus i wanted use volte on my phone
so i rooted nokia 1 plus and i edited /etc/apns-conf.xml for add ims apn and rebooted my phone.
after that i saw file /system/build.prop that there was not any option of volte so i add this parameter:

persist.dbg.ims_volte_enable=1
persist.dbg.volte_avail_ovr=1
persist.dbg.vt_avail_ovr=1
persist.dbg.wfc_avail_ovr=1
persist.radio.rat_on=combine
persist.radio.data_ltd_sys_ind=1
persist.radio.data_con_rprt=1
persist.radio.calls.on.ims=1

after i added this parameter ,i reboot my phone and i saw enhanced 4G LTE mode is active
but when i dial *#*#4636#*#* i saw in ims status voice of LTE unavailble
please help me what do to do ?
