The firmware I downloaded from this thread previously soft bricked my tablet, be careful
Same hereI am finding dead links in this thread as well as the "Magisk Patched Boot Image" in the root guide.
Good point. Will do!@Sands207, one thing to be especially mindful of is the hardware variations. Your SN will begin with either a CF or MD, on both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 models. Be sure you download your firmware from the corresponding section in this regard.
And if you have any issues whatsoever, just leave a comment and I'll do my best to get you through it.
Thank you, I definitely appreciate it. I'm going to take a crack at it again later today. I'm currently developing for several other devices and got side trackedAnd if you have any issues whatsoever, just leave a comment and I'll do my best to get you through it.
Which tablet do you have? The Gen 1 or Gen 2? Also, what are the first 2 letters of your serial number? So are there any other sources for this firmware? I haven't been able to get it since I have been following this thread. I'm trying to fix my nieces pos tablet, she's five and she doesn't have another one to use in the meantime. Hard to believe this is the only source for this fw, but for the life of me I can't find a damn thing. Anyone have any suggestions? Would be much appreciated. Thanks

I’ve bricked it so hard that tastboot and recovery won’t come up. Only a bl as no screen with a bright backlight.
It says it’s an A100 chip with MD as a startling S/N
Can you link me with the firmware needed.
You may have been running.a newer build than the v06 I sent. Your label indicates that the v06 is the correct package for your model, so it should flash properly. Here is a link also for the v09 build, but keep in mind that it is for the S/N CF model.I would have sworn that this tablet had the v9 and at one point I saw that it had an A133 chip in some recovery logs but I failed to document that. So we downloaded the v9 from before and we can’t get it to take under any route you’ve got.
Thanks for the firmware and I’ll try it tonight.
Attached you find the full SN

You're certainly not the only member who has experienced difficulty navigating on XDA since the platform's migration over to XenForo from vBulletin in late 2020.I haven't been here for a decade so few ? First I can't get to first page so I can read what's been happening and if this Scepter tab is going to be useful if I TRY and root it ! As of now this tab has been restored 20 or more times because it doesn't work hardly I first tryed to get my money back for it$10 dollars, but I'll get back to first problem - I can't get to frist page to inform myself of issues a screen keeps dropping down with a post from scarlet letter think that's the name and the page is sent to 9 Why is this I'm trying to read on my iPad now can't seem to navigate this forum, if someone might have idea of what I'm doing wrong . Second question is rooting this tablet does it run with out the problems it seems to have sorry to ask Stupid ? but after trying to read here for awhile couple different times it's getting frustrating a bit. Somewhere I saw where files were down for a while all I can read is broken bits of this forum I'll stop Thanks folks
You can also use the website via chrome if you open it in desktop mode. It's small text but you can zoom in and out. You can also use landscape mode just know the keyboard will cover most of it. On safari I'm not sure how to request desktop mode. And yes the XDA app works much better..You're certainly not the only member who has experienced difficulty navigating on XDA since the platform's migration over to XenForo from vBulletin in late 2020.
It is simpler to navigate if you are using the official XDA app. The first thing you need to do is tap your account icon, which is the third icon to the right in the lower navigation bar. Then select Settings and disable the Thread Preview option. Now, when you open a thread, by default you will be viewing the full version versus the preview version. Next, go to the thread you want to begin on Page 1. At the bottom of each thread page, you will see a navigation toggle that looks like this:
This will reflect the current page of the thread you are currently on. To go back one page, tap the blue Prev box. To go all the way back to Page 1, tap the double arrows to the left of the Prev box.
If you've been gone 10 years, navigating XDA will take some practice for sure. Welcome back.
Insofar as your inquiries on the Scepter 8, this thread would be a good place to begin. Scepter 8 General Info & Discussion
Does your serial number begin with CF? If so, you can use any firmware from the Android 12 "CF" heading. I will be repairing all firmware links tonight, as well as links to the root boot images.I also have the same build and stuff. The link on the first page, the modified boot file is missing, and also the firmware downloads are missing or else I just make my own
Edit: not missing but mega took it down
Thank you for uploading them =)Firmware builds for all models & variants are now available via the download links in the OP. The remaining dead links will be fixed very shortly .
