Hello, I have an Acer Iconia Tab A3-A40, Twrp and root via Magisk.
Magisk then told me that a new version is available.
The Magisk Manager, I could not start anymore.
That's why I switched to TWRP.
There I first tried to reinstall Magisk. Error message unfortunately no longer known.
Then uninstall Magisk. Also an unknown error message.
Restart attempt to TWRP.
Tablet just keeps restarting (bootloop)
TWRP can not be started via ADB (Fastboot) nor normally. Always restarting by itself.
Fasboot access is still available.
Start, it does too. Aver logo comes and then it starts again ...
What can I do?
Is there a way to flash the firmware completely via fastboot?
TWRP also starts not with: fastboot boot recovery.img
What can I do? Who else can help me?

hi there. I am trying to revive my old A1-810. It has no system installed (previously it had been updatet to KitKat). I managed to unlock the bootloader and install CWM with support of external SD card. Now I think I should be able to flash original KitKat firmware, but links from first post are not working and I am not able to find correct firmware anywhere.
I believe I need this file: OS_Acer_Acer.AV0K0.A1-810.RV0BRC01.WW.GEN1_A44K_A.zip
Does anyone have it and is able to share?

OK, I have found the correct file but I had no luck with flashing. Neither the Kitkat nor the Jelly Bean. I am getting error status 7 "set_perm some changes failed" when flashing Jelly Bean and error status 7 "set_metadata some changes failed" when flashing KitKat. Do somebody know what is wrong and how can I fix this?

Also looking for root for B3-A40. Been almost a week of trying absolutely every piece of software I can find, trying via fastboot and adb but no luck at all. Even contacted Acer directly about rooting & unlocking the bootloader and they just told me to check online forums
For my A3-A20FHD, I've been able to root using KingRoot, although the app feels really virus-y, it works out a functional root somehow.

I don't know what to do because my recovery is all in chinese and with translate a come with none flash zip option.
It's in bootloop because i tried to clean the emmc on that chinese recovery.

Hi all,
Because flashing recovery on A1-810/A1-811 turned out to be a little different than others, I decided to rewrite the steps a little. I've done this procedure many times, so I'm quite sure it works this way. So far I have not been able to brick my device this way, so no real danger (unless you'd use files for different devices or type wrong parameters). In all cases - unbricking can always be done flashing a full ROM (instructions see first post).
Here are the *magic* the steps:

- Download MTK Drivers : MTK_SP_Drivers_v1.4.rar (last one unsigned) or MTK_Signed_Drivers.zip (older but signed for Windows 8)
- Open your Windows device manager
- Remove your battery from your device, or unplug it, or make sure your device if off
- Plug your device to your PC with USB cable (a good cable, on a direct back USB port, avoid front USB ports)
- A "MTxx Preloader" device should appears for a few seconds, install drivers for it
- Unplug, replug the USB cable, your device should be well regconized (a COM device in USB Ports & Com)
Flash the firmware
- Download the Firmware archive and the SP Flash tool for your device
- Unzip both SPFT and Firmware archives
- Run flash_tool.exe has an administrator
- The program can prompt that a scatter file is required, click on OK.
- Click on "Scatter-loading" and choose the scatter MTxxx_Android_scatter_emmc.txt file from the Rework-Secro directory under the Firmware directory
- You should have something like :
- Make sure only SEC_RO partition is checked, you're in "Download Only" mode and click on "Download": SPFT is now waiting for a device a COM port to Flash
- /!\Remember never use the Format pattern to download versions.
- Remove your battery from your device, or unplug it, or make sure your device if off
- Plug your device to your PC with USB cable (a good cable, on a direct back USB port, avoid front USB ports)
- The flashing process will start automatically : do not unplug your USB cable !
- Wait for a Green Circle saying the flash process is finished
- /!\ Do NOT power on your device, it must be stay off
- Now, Click on "Scatter-loading" and choose the scatter MTxxx_Android_scatter_emmc.txt file from the root Firmware directory
- You should have something like :
- /!\ It's recommended to uncheck the "PRELOADER" partition, you can try to make the process with this checked only if it failed before while unchecked.
- Make sure the download pattern is “Firmware Upgrade”, and the firmware secro-sign.img is used instead of secro-sign.img from the previous folder
- Click on "Download" : SPFT is now waiting for a device a COM port to Flash
- Remove your battery from your device, or unplug it, or make sure your device if off
- Plug your device to your PC with USB cable (a good cable, on a direct back USB port, avoid front USB ports)
- The flashing process will start automatically : do not unplug your USB cable !
- A red bar for COM loading, a purple bar for Preloader Flashing, a yellow bar for Firmware flashing
- Wait for a Green Circle saying the flash process is finished
- Close SPFT, unplug USB Cable, put back your battery, charge your device for 10min, try to boot it
And your device is back
