[Guide] Flashing CWM recovery directly from your Micromax Funbook.

This method is for those who do not want to use a computer to flash cwm recovery or do not have access to a computer to do the same.

Give me credits only for the method. Not for the app and the recovery image.

Things Required:-

1. Data Connection on your Tablet. (via WIFI)
2. An archieve supported file manager. Eg ES File Explorer.
3. A Usable and working mind.

Steps:-

1. Download the file from the link below.
2. Extract the file to the root of your "internal sd card" and you will get 2 file First "Novotools_v1.0" and the Second "recovery.img".
3. Install the app Novotools_v1.0.
4. Run Novotools and you will see and option Flash Recovery
5. Click it and the recovey will be flashed onto your phone.
6. Reboot in recovery with the help of the application or the old method by Holding the Home/Options and the Power button.
7. Now you have fully functional CWM recovery.:D:D

I am having an issue. after flashing cmw, and restarting.
my tablet is not able to read the internal sd.
i go to settings->storage->internal storage-> mount sd card.
and it isnt working at all

Which tablet you are using?

Its a really strange issue. I have flashed my tablet a lot many times by the same method and never faced this issue.

just some suggestion check your Mount partition settings in folder /system/etc
you will find vold.stab file. Open it in the text editor (from the root explorer)
and see if it's like this or simmiliar (because i had your tablet clone )

or like this if you have swap your extsd to sdcard

dev_mount extsd /mnt/extsd auto /devices/virtual/block/nandi
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/platform/sunxi-mmc.1/mmc_host /devices/platform/sunxi-mmc.0/mmc_host

make sure it's nandi not nandj.

I just brought my funbook and thanks to you i installed CWM on it.
I found Micromax default rom to be to buggy, reboots itself while i was charging via usb and while moving data from usb.
Now, waiting for it to get full charged so that i'll install your ROM on it

plzzz help
i have problem with charger the current is overflow
and when i charge the touch screen is lagged too much
means not working properly.....

From all the specs mentioned it looks like the method is supported. Try this method it wont hurt your tablet.:D:D

will this method work on a may manufactured funbook because yen I followed the instructions as mentioned I had brick my book and my internal memory was erased completely, I mean I was not able to read also nor was I able to install apps!!!

and fortunately I got a replacement!!!

can't risk again so plz conform if it works on may manufactured Indian made fun book




and y is a working data required? WiFi ly is needed or we can use 3g dongle

From all the specs mentioned it looks like the method is supported. Try this method it wont hurt your tablet.:D:D

I too have domo n9 se. installed cwm and was able to enter recovery through the option in novo tools. there are two things

i am unable to enter cwn through the old method(home + power)
i am unable to use back button while in cwm. after flashing a new rom i have to wait for battery to be run down and again power on the tablet.

Kindly help

    make sure it's nandi not nandj.
