So I guess there isn't a zip file to undo the changes. Looks like I have to reflash everything back to stock. In fact while I was composing this reply the phone froze and rebooted twice.

EDIT: I reinstalled kernel adiutor and changed the CPU and I/0 values back to the originally suggested values so let's see how that goes. So far lag is gone and feels better but let's give our a few days.

Likewise and getting lots of lag. I only used the fix zip. Not as smooth as before the fix and removal of kernel adiutor. ;(

So can k flash the fix file on the u firmware or has to be on PE1 like stated?

You can flash it on the U or the PE1 firmware. I found confirmation in the original thread. However if you are NOT on Verizon then I recommend using the other script, the one for non Verizon phones.

Original U firmware with root method and that new zip but used your original kernel suggestions (which you might want to repost to give users another option) and reinstalled kernel adiutor and is running much much better

Just thought I'd report back with how the stock 935U software is.

So far battery life is freakin amazing. The first full day after flashing it and having a fresh start, I got over 4 hours of SOT. When I'd be on a fresh reset on the VZW firmware, id only be able to get about 1.5 hours SOT. It amazing not to have the phone clogged with VZW crapware. Ive only turned off a few things. Two of those things being from when setting up the phone, the google reporting/diagnostic stuff. Other than that, I have everything turned on.

PSA: I've added stock Odin-flashable images to my root/unroot guide for the following carriers: AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular (already had Verizon) for both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. This covers models SM-G930A, SM-G935A, SM-G930P, SM-G935P, SM-G930T, SM-G935T, SM-G930R, SM-G935R, SM-G930V, and SM-G935V. These files are hosted on my unlimited-bandwidth GoDaddy dump server, so enjoy them ad-free.

I have successfully completed parts 1 & 2. After running the batch file my phone restarts and SuperSU is installed, but root was not successfully achieved. Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions to achieve root? Thanks!

Edit: I achieved root using this method and everything is working as I'd like. To fix my previous post I used the "PrinceComsy" version of Odin to flash the "Samsung_G935x_QC_Rooted_BOOT.TAR" file. Also, if anyone else is having trouble with the root.bat, I had to put all root files in the directory adb was installed to. Lastly, the xposed framework in the original post is what is needed to flash via FlashFire. In the original post it says to extract this file to find the file needed to flash and an apk. The apk instead needs to be downloaded from the play store (Xposed Installer), you are only flashing the framework.

Oh and one final thing, after my first attempt, everything was working well until a Service Provider Update saying "your device will restart to configure features supported by new sim card." The only option is to press ok and allow it to reboot. I could use my phone while this notification is active, and I was unable to kill it in any way. When the phone reboots to recovery, the configuration fails with "dm-verity verification failed". I then reboot system or power off and the endless cycle continues. I had to follow this guide again to reflash the unlocked firmware and root it. I then saw once I applied the verizon fixes my phone was again recognized as a model SM-G935V (instead of U) and "download automatic updates" was checked. I unchecked this and am crossing my fingers for everything to continue working as intended. Hope these ramblings are helpful for someone...!

Not sure if I missed it somewhere in this post, but I tried to flash xposed via FlashFire and when the phone restarted it I couldn't find the app. I also tried to flash other apps this way and nothing is showing up. I do have root access and everything seems to be working fine. Any advice?

Thanks!

You'll lose just about everything because they packaged /data and /system in the update and signed it. Depending on your device, when you flash you may have a HOME_ version of the CSC file to flash which does NOT overwrite data. You might try that. You're kind of on your own on that one though -- mixing images isn't a great idea.

You need the apk, the zip is just the framework without the apk it's useless
