since I uninstalled htc sync and used supplied drivers for the revolutionary root....I'm not getting:
*daemon started successfully* in command prompt....problem or not?

Everything seems to have worked perfectly for me 1st time through. Says a lot about how thorough this guide is, because I'm so noob I don't even really know what I can do now that I've done this lol. If I'm right you can start rooting/flashing ROMs after this, right?

edit: I should note there seem to be a few differences to the process. When you click the link to go to Android SDK, it's now android-sdk_r12-windows.zip instead of r11. I used the other link you gave to directly get the r11 anyways since I wanted to stick as closely to the guide as possible. Another is that "Android SDK Platform-tools, revision 5" is now revision 6 and there's 13 files instead of 12. The last difference for me was when it said "Your device is ready to use" I didn't have the last line where it says "HTC Android Phone USB Device". I assume the r12 vs. r11 and revision 5 vs. revision 6 are no big deal, but is the fact that it didn't say HTC Android Phone USB Device Ready to Use a big deal? My device came up in the command prompt at the end exactly like in the screenshot of the OP.

Dude, I wish I found this earlier been flashing ROM's all night none of which worked right cause I couldn't get MD5 Radio to flash properly. Gonna start from scratch and see if this does the trick.

Hi, I've been using my (now retired) HTC HD2 for a long time, and recently got a new HTC Sensation. I really enjoyed the Android O/S (on my new Sensation), from messing around with my HD2 I noticed there were quite a few builds based on what other phones were running - so my question is...

The tutorial, at the start of this thread - is this how I'd go about dumping what my Sensation is running and having a look at the files or whatever?
