Lacking info there, after bricking your phone what happened? Did it appear as "ZTE Handset Diagnostic Interface (DFU)"? In that case you just had to use MultiDL and then MiFlash.

Sahara Mode is DFU, and the latest EDL Tool should get you out of it easily.

So MiFlash worked? Did you fix the brick?
I tried the latest EDL Tool it wouldn’t work. MiFlash would work with contact point. Then I could use volume up+down to enter EDL mode after fully flashing B10 nougat, where MiFlash would work but EDL Tool still wouldn’t work after flashing B10 and B06 iirc.

I used the EDL full backup I made and pasted it over B10 files and MiFlashed it and then EDL Tool would work with it, tried restoring backup with EDL Tool which worked as I’m flashed it, but phone still wouldn’t boot up. Also it doesn’t enter EDL from volume up+down anymore. My backup is B04 Oreo and it would never enter EDL from volume up+down correctly anyway.

The entire time time it complained about Sahara mode, it still showed up as 9008 in device manager iirc.

So now without boot and volume up+down not working I’ll have to use contact point again to flash. Though the volume/power flex has now snapped when being lifted off (the actual cable itself snapped where it bends) since I’ve taken it off so many time (replaced camera in past etc).

I have a spare one, but I’ll have to find it among my things..

You might have the wrong drivers installed for the DFU mode. It sometimes happens. Try uninstalling them (try getting to dfu, then uninstall device - delete driver software for this device). after that, turn the phone off and then get into dfu again. It will probably install the dfu drivers, and then you can use MultiDL to get out of DFU. If it appears as DFU, edl tool might work.

Also, it is possible that it won't boot at all after flashing. You should flash TWRP and enter it, then format data and cache to ext4. Usually thise get changed to f2fs and panic ensues

I didn’t realise I could flash TWRP out of edl? Is there a package for that?

I’ll try after work, when I uninstalled and reinstalled before I still got 9008 but on the latest driver version, DFU drivers are a different driver package?

The whole time there was no display at all on the LCD, possible the LCD flex cable is damaged? The one under the battery when prying up battery. I couldn’t find a replacement cable on AliExpress though only the USB module (just in case).

There's a package to flash TWRP's but it's way easier via edl tool since you just drop it on a folder and hit flash recovery

If you installed the 9008 driver, it is very possible that Windows didn't find the dfu driver ("ZTE Handset Diagnostic Interface (DFU)") and installed the 9008 driver, so everything thinks DFU is EDL and you know what happens next (sahara mode stuff).
You have to uninstall the phone and kill the drivers, then reconnect it and enter dfu again, and windows has to find the driver and install it.

And the LCD stuff (obviously there's no lcd on the axon, just saying) is bad if you actually broke it, because the flex is one piece that goes into the screen (i.e. you have to replace the screen). But it's surely just that you are even more bricked, so don't worry about it.

Hi all-- Just doing my sporadic check-in to inquire if anyone has resolved the issue of the screen not being responsive above MM B29?

So, it's not quite a year since my last post. I still use my Axon 7 as my only phone and it's still on the last Marshmallow release for it. I check here and other places hoping someone has a step by step to upgrade and resolution to the screen touch not responding.
