So, you've probably seen that the S8/N8 can do 4k60 by now. But did you know, that the S7 (Exynos only) can do this too, just using a different app?

Special thanks to the people in "Note8 Exynos 4K 60FPS no root" on Telegram for helping me with this (feel free to join and ask for help there [click])

The Easy Way
  1. Download Snap Camera HDR from the Play Store (the trial works too)
  2. Download my snap_camera.zip file from the attachments and extract it in /sdcard (Internal Storage root) [I had to do it like this because xda won't accept .bin files]
  3. Open the app, go to the menu -> other and press "Load settings"
  4. Start recording and enjoy

The "Harder" Way (ROOT)
  1. Download Snap Camera HDR from the Play Store (the trial works too, just replace "snap" with "snaptrial" in the directory later)
  2. Open the app, go to settings, enable "4K Video Support", change the video size and preview framerate to anything non-default to let it generate the settings
  3. Use your favorite root explorer to get to /data/data/com.marginz.snap/shared_prefs
  4. Edit the file corresponding to the profile you want to edit (P1 is com.marginz.snap_preferences_0.xml, P2 is com.marginz.snap_preferences_100.xml and so on)
  5. Change "pref_video_preview_framerate_key" to "60000,60000" (without quotes)
  6. Change "pref_camera_video_size_key" to a resolution higher than 3840x2160 (like 4032x2268) [if you set it to 3840x2160, you will only get 45 FPS, my theory is that it doesn't completely disable HDR if you set it to 3840x2160]
  7. Save the file and repeat for all camera modes you want to edit
  8. Enjoy
