I have used app but did not unlock my phone ls992 on 7.0 android yet. After installing hidden menu apk I have seen in IOT-LTE SETTING-OPERATION MODE olready switched on LAB NETWORK. Phone does not see my sim card and I can't swith off to Production network. When I try turn on Production network - phone rebooting but in this menu it stay in LAB NETWORK. When I try set up GSM/WCDMA/LTEAUTO in rat selection - always get error - FAIL. I've reseted phone but no luck. Please give me advise what to do(

Put it back in Operation (not lab) disable Band 25 and all LTE Data Roamin Config (basically a reverse of this guide) go to phone settings Backup & Reset and reset Network settings. If you have pin lock set up disable it. Now turn off the phone, remove SIM, and do not connect to wifi. Copy Hidden Menu.apk from your pc to your phone. Install it. Follow first steps of the guide in the original post. after you switch to Lab and it reboots, it should be working, insert SIM to verify.

If a message pops up about IMS, remove SIM again, go into IOT (CDG2) then IMS Setting, then subscriber and tick off checkmark on ISIM. Insert SIM again, message should not pop up.

Continue with the rest of the guide, including creating the APN.

Hope this helps.

Hello guys, do not know which topic is the right choice for me..but I am having a huge problem with my LTE on LS992 running 7.0...I was able to Lab unlock the phone but getting just 2G/3G data/voice/sms...which work perfectly fine, however no LTE at all. I live in Europe so the bands that should work fine are: B1 (2100), B3 (1800 +), B7 (2600), B20 (800 DD). The problem is that I am unable to get any of them ...The most important one is B20 which should be supported by LS992 according to the official LG websites and Phonearena.com as well....Has anyone had and solved this problem? Could it be solved by buying some kind of unlock anywhere?

You did change it to GSM/WCDMA/LTE under rat selection right? By default it won't get LTE unless you did that. And you did enable all the extra bands in that menu too?

Some have bought an unlock and it was this exact app. So I honestly wouldn't recommend buying an unlock.

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the app? It's a bit weird that the phone won't let you switch off Lab Network, might be damaged unit?

Uninstalling the app won't change a system setting. Remember the app is pretty much a shortcut to the settings.

Only other way to get that reset is get the SPC/MSL code.

Look at your status bar. You have no signal and the icon to the left of that means no SIM card inserted. You may need to insert a SIM first in order to acquire any kind of signal, in order for any of those menu options to start working.

EDIT: sorry for double post, but please check the next response I made below as well. If you have Secure Start-Up enabled, it may be messing with your SIM configurations.

Hey guys, I just found this out: Don't set up a phone lock (in my case I had pin lock when phone turned on and a screen lock) I removed pin lock and now I can shut down the phone and/or take the battery out and I don't lose SIM configuration.
Thanks for sharing this, I tested and confirmed this.

To clarify, the "normal" screen locks under Settings > Lock Screen > Select Screen Lock all work fine. I've been using a PIN lock with fingerprints on the standard lock screen this whole time.

This "other" PIN screen lock causing this whole mess is the "Secure Start-Up" option under Settings > Fingerprints & Security > Encryption. If enabled, the phone requires a PIN before booting parts of the OS with more security sensitive features and data. This includes any enabled accessibility services, ADB debugging, and - apparently - the SIM configuration.

Using Secure Start-Up with a non-Sprint SIM actually gave me a "No SIM card" error even after entering PIN and allowing the OS to settle for a couple of minutes. Without fiddling with the SIM tray at all, I disabled Secure Start-Up and rebooted to my standard lock screen, and all my SIM configurations through this method reappeared and worked fine as before.

This "Secure Start-Up" is also known as "File Based Encryption (FBE)" and is new to Android starting with Nougat 7.0. You can learn more about its details here: https://yourtechexplained.com/2016/12/08/explained-android-nougat-file-based-encryption/

Since it interferes with this SIM unlock method, I'd recommend disabling Secure Start-Up and using the standard lock screen options in conjunction with other security measures such as Google's Device Manager instead.

same issue with somebody mentioned before, I was using on at&t and after a reboot, it will display no sim no matter what you do, have to do a R&D reset to make it work again, and this has happened 2 times for me. anyone have solutions?
Disable your screen lock. No password/swipe to unlock/fingerprints. It was mentioned earlier. I am in the same boat as you with a Sprint phone on an At&t Sim... I read that comment and crossed my fingers before I did it...I was prepared to do a factory reset, but I didn't have to. PITA to disable the password and fingerprints everytime you need to reboot, but 1000% times better than a reset.

So you entered APN under LTE settings. And under APN type put "default" ?

It may not support your carrier bands? Yeah turns out it works on several Lg devices :).

Did you make sure it's set to GSM/wcdma/LTE? And enable all the bands under the LTE menu?

Yes I did, I also tried unlocking all bands but in each of the band I got FAIL...so I don't know why it is not working. What is the best possible step by step manual from those mentioned here? What would you suggest?

If you got fail you where not in the right place.

Under LTE and LTE roam data config at the bottom select and and there's a bunch of stuff to enable.

After enabling all of that. If still no 4G/LTE then is most likely doesn't support your carriers LTE bands.

What's your country and carrier?
