I know about the user agent switch but what do I do about data usage outside of the browser? I haven't been able to use the uTorrent or Vuze applications because of T-Mobile message.

I have been spoofing user agent with internet browsers and it has been working fine. Today I discovered my tether speed went really low. I cannot even load speed test.net page. My phone speed is normal This happens with both phones, my wife's euro sensation and my T-Mobile branded sensation. Anybody else experience similar problem?

MOD-Edit:

Post deleted for included profanity. Don't even think about reposting that script.

So far best solution I've found is having one of these (or any other similar router) running this which runs a VPN from my home internet. Along with a free dynamic dns service which gives me a free subdomain linked to my IP, all I have to do is connect to the address with android's vpn features and everything is hidden from t-mo. Not a thing they can do about it either.

I am on T mobile Unlimited $20 plan and when I log in to my account, I can see the option to add tethering for 14.99. I thought they do not allow tethering on Unlimited plan. Has anybody tried adding it?

Made me sad to see when i upgraded my sensation to ics that i couldnt tether for free anymore on stock :[
Just download the Firefox add "user agent switcher" then go to tools and change to a phone browser agent and problem solve. :cowboy:

theres actually good reason why they do it. its to prevent users from brining down the network.
That might make sense on unlimited plans, but if they're limiting my 4G to 5GB, then why should they care how I use it? I can suck up as much data on my phone as I can on my computer/tablet/or another Android device.
