I successfully created the cab it wont install to the HD2 is a certificate problem or a cab one, I even tried to create the cab several times, but same result, unsuccessfull installation
Hi bro medman,

Don't need to create any cab now.

Just follow bro angusc's instruction and you'll be able to make VoIP calls in no time. He's very good at this.

Just don't use pfingo.com :(

Need more details to be able to help you.

On your TODAY screen do you see the Blue Phone with a wireless antenna and reen signal marks? then next to it should read your SIP service provider name and then Available or Selected or No Service. (Like the attached picture).

Also have you copied the ipdialplan.xml file (post #1645) that i posted earlier for Batistian to try it or created your own using the ipdialplancreate.cab program?

Check my earlier Page 165, post #1647 it has all the cab files attached now due to linking issues.

I've read the thread and followed all the instruction, but I'm still can't make call by using SIP on my Uni, the Today Item showing "VoIPGain: searching" (VoIPGain is my VoIP provider), I called my user name from another one (from the PC client), but the respond was "The user is not logged in", so that means, when it's showing "searching", I haven't log in yet. I've also tried to change the user name and the password, so that it cannot log in, and as the result, the Today Item showed "Internet Calling: Available" or (before I reboot) "VoIPGain: Available" (weird).

I have try so many methods but cannot get it to work.

Can anybody help?

Here's my config (SIP config tool)
Description: VoIPGain
SIP server: sip.voipgain.com
User Name: (my user name)
Password: (my password)

P/S: sorry for my bad english.

Looks OK and matches the Voipgain website settings. so probably not your problem. Hve you checked the very first post #1 to ensure that you have the files listed on your device? Try using the SipConfi-Setup_Voip_v0.3.cab file that i posted earlier in this thread....then you are able to enter the PROXY adress: "sip.voipgain.com" and the URI address: "sip:[email protected]"

try this and let me know!

I use Uni and running Ranju7.7 ROM on it, as you might know, this ROM doesn't support VoIP, so I install the WM6VoIP.cab and got all the files (which is listed in post #1).

I downloaded the Sipconfig_Setup_v0.3.cab and installed it (after removing the SipConfigToll_2_0_1.cab), config it, rebooted and for some reason, the device's wifi stop functioning (kinda ridiculous), and the situation didn't change, I still couldn't make call by using VoIP. So I uninstall the Sipconfig_Setup_v0.3.cab.

So, I abandoned this thread and begin to search for any kind of SIP client in windows mobile, and I've been lucky, now I'm using Sjphone (an old old thing) but it works, except the audio quality is quite low (sometime it slow a little bit), but that's enough for me :D

ANW, thanks for your help, I really appreciate that.

It seems like pfingo.com is using another port for out-going calls.

Here's what I did...

I installedWM6VoIPFull.cab by tucahara from HERE.
Actually, any .cabs, recommended by bro angusc, should also work.

Setup the Sip Config & Dial plan creator like this...

Then, I look for the IP of my device by going to...

wvzyg9.jpg

246n9qv.jpg

and open a range of ports from 1023 to 5060 in my Modem Router's Applications & Gaming > Port Range Forwarding for my device's IP.

Hope this will help all oversea Singaporean to still keep close contact with their family without too much

If you are connected through GPRS/EDGE/3G, you could give Daniel Herrero's
Connection State Checker a try. It works fine, but you'll notice that your battery will drain faster, not due to the program itself, but because of the data connection always active.

Cheers!
Carlos

Thank you very much for the help, but unfortunately this is not my problem.
The connection works, in fact i can navigate and call through sip
My problem is related with the voip server.
I think my registration "expires" after a few minutes.

If problem is your device going in to stand by mode and disconnecting the WIFI then install a program called "DontSleep Wifi" just activate it before starting your SIP call and then your connection will not drop out.

:D That doesn't work for me. It block the out-going call.

So I did a registry tweak by going to:

HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone and change the Dword for Sleep to 0.

I can't received call when device is in standby too, so I use WifiNoStandby.

As promised, here's a cab that installs my GSM610 codec. Once you get it working you'll be able to see how close I am to success. The inbound audio almost works; you can make out voices and almost understand what's being said. Outbound audio isn't as good however.

Note: obviously, you will need to have Internet calling installed and tested before adding this codec. If you want to change the default codec back to G.711 change the dword value "PreferredAudioCodec" in HKLM\Comm\RTC\codec from a 3 to a 0.
