The framework-res.apk is normally 28-40 MB so I don't see no reason it can't be uploaded to a file hosting site

Don't forget to mod your Generic.kl after reboot, if you cannot then try replace with this https://mega.co.nz/#!PZhwDKrB!EdNePCkIWjhqK39OsnoXGuHaHkNBHQT1LydC61A1EL0. It is always recommended to nandroid back before flashing anything. Good luck

Question would this modded framework work on other s5 themed roms? As in i'm using phoenix rom now but suppose i try it with y.c.d rom, would it work with it?
I flashed it and it worked but when i restart i get fc's but then the system works as normal. I changed the generic file but it did not change the recents button then i put the generic file you upload but my homem power and menu buttons stopped working altogether. im now restoring a backup and will start fresh.

Works great, if you have told me before I would have uploaded mine. I saw the framework has the same size as mine. I used it before on phoenix rom 9.3 but now on Omega 34 with @tamirda mod v2. It should work as @NimeniAltu said. I thought you've already tried it.

No need to restore the who system, if you still have your room open the zip package and copy Generic.kl from system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl and upload and I'll mod that and re-flash and you'll be fine
I already did so what do i do now. I tried changing it but it didn't work .

For people using Phoenix 9.3 and 9.4 you can use this framework.. this is the one im using.. no issues... just flash it..

Hello,
I'm using Hassan Rom v7 for i9500 and I used the 3dot mod provided on the rom page which worked fine. Problem is that I want the settings button back to Menu instead of App_switch and I want Recents back to Long press home button.
editing the key 139 MENU in generic.kl has fixed the settings part but long press Home button still opens google Search and now I cant access App_switch
. which key do I need to change in order to get the recents/App_switch back to long press home button?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can i run this mod on Stock Odex rom ?
tried compiling the framework-res file several times
and did everything according to Tutorial

If you try the one I mod and uploaded here you'll possibly get bootloop 'cause most ROMs are deodexed so I don't think it works on odex ROMsCan i run this mod on Stock Odex rom ?
