Reboot your phone..happened to mind after 1st boot but after reboot worked fine...otherwise use GPS Test app to refresh AGPS file

gps test its giving me 0 connections after reboot. what i do next? and thanks for the response

Google Maps and Waze are all really bad since the latest OB 24.

I tried to fix the AGPS thing and resetting networks.

i noticed the GPS problem when using Device only mode location ( no wifi or bluetooth scanning and both are turned off and Data off)
i tried whats in the thread here but nothing worked i still got 0 satellite
but yesterday i fixed it and it was a hardware problem that the antenna of GPS is not connected well
what i did is following the instruction in this thread

do this at your own risk

No treble support for now. And ntp server for EU
You can change it by editing gps.conf

I flashed it via TWRP on my OnePlus 5T running Oxygeon OS 9.0.10 with Android Pie 9. The magnetic sensor is still not working. I started facing the compass issue in Pie only. I was running Oxygen OS 5.1.7 with Oreo 8.1.0 and never faced this issue. Please help.

For an unknown reason, the GPS won't lock anymore. I could take a solid 10-15 minutes while driving to get the GPS .

I own the phone since out (july 2017)

So I've downloaded GPS test apk : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest&hl=fr_CA

And then waze worked.

For now on, I need to open GPS Test FIRST, then open Waze. Working very well. (3d fix message will pop on the app)

I was relieved to know it was a software issue, since I changed my previous to a op5 because of the legendary LG gps issues.

Note that on oneplus forums, people are saying its because of Google Adaptive Battery option, but it wasn't. At least for me.

Yeah, and I can confirm that this GPS Test app really works as you described, locking a GPS fix in less than a minute. Thanks a lot mate! This is the solution to my infuriating attempts to get my navigation working :highfive:

So for anyone else with GPS locking issues, try the "GPS Test" app before launching your app of choice.
