Hello Dear Friends! We flashes many custom ROMs! to improve the performance and to get new features in our Android devices. But some ROMs gives us many issues. In these issues there is an issue which causes by improper installation of ROMs or Recovery. The problem is "Unknown Baseband".

Q. Why Unknown Baseband is a serious issue?
Ans. Unknown Baseband is serious issue because Baseband contains configurations about SIM detection. If you have Unknown Baseband in your phone than your SIM card/cards will not get detected by your phone.So you will not able to use your SIM services.

Q. How can I check that my Baseband is unknown?

Ans. Simply go to Settings>About Phone and check Baseband Version.

Q. How can I fix this issue?
Ans. Actually It's very easy!! Lets do it step by step.

=> Install ES File Explorer( You Can Also Use Root Explorer )
=> Open ES File Explorer
=> On Root Explorer
=> Grant Root Permission
=> Click On Root Explorer
=> Click On Mount As
=> Than Mount As R/W
=> Than Go To Device
=> Than Go To Data
=> Than Find A Folder Named "nvram"
=> Delete "nvram" Folder
=> Now Reboot

Hollllaaahhh You Have Successfully Fixed Your Unknown Baseband.

If this method doesn't worked for you than there is only a single way! You have to flash your Stock Firmware through PC.

Q. How can I prevent my phone from this problem?
Ans.

*If you are flashing a ROM than please do a full wipe for clean Installation.

*Make a backup of your nvram through TWRP Recovery.

IF YOU LIKED MY GUIDE THAN PLEASE HIT A THANKS!! IT WILL NOT COST YOU ANYTHING OR IT WILL NOT TAKE MUCH TIME. YOUR ONE THANKA WILL MOTIVATE ME.

THANKS!!

this what worked for me after sleepless nights for just reading and searching the google. lot of website gives instructions, but non of them worked for me.

i am not good at giving instruction but i will just say what i did, and it's up to you if you will follow it. this is just to add idea for you that may work for you.

i apologize for not providing link. just google them and add "xda" as keyword to your search as much as possible.

downloading from sammobile gets error when using winzip or winrar to extract them. just use 7-zip. they are working i guarantee you.

the root of all these baseband unknown, no imei error is after i flashed to nougat first version.

what i did exactly that worked for me after hundred of trial and errors from the tip of all website and for my own experiment is,

1. i rooted my phone and flashed Nobleltetmo_N920TUVU3DPG1_Stock_Deodexed.zip to make my phone lollipop version.

2. then flashed as of today feb 2, 2019, i downloaded from sammobile N920TUVS6ERH1_N920TTMB6ERH1_TMB.zip downloaded from sammobile, when extracted this is the file N920TUVS6ERH1_N920TTMB6ERH1_N920TUVS6ERH1_HOME.tar.md5

i don't know but it worked. probably luck. anyway just try the latest version.

this is all i have tried that did not worked for me, i have deleted others to free space on my pc. just keep away from these list.

*SAMSUNG N920T Imei Baseband Unknown Solved File (FRP REMOVE).rar
*N920TUVU2COJ5_TMB2COJ5_TMB_USA_T-Mobile_v5.1.1_Repair_Firmware.zip
*N920TUVU2DPD1_N920TTMB2DPD1_TMB.zip
*N920TUVU4EQC6_N920TTMB4EQC6_TMB.zip
*xposed
*smart switch
*SAMSUNG_I9500_EFS_BACKUP.zip (i tried even not same model lol)
*N920TUVU2COI5_N920TTMB2COI5_TMB.zip
*sam-fix-tool
*failed https://www.technobezz.com/fix-samsung-galaxy-unknown-baseband-version/
*and more....
and more....
