Hello Dear Friends! We flashes many custom ROMs! to improve the performance and to get new features in our Android devices. But some ROMs gives us many issues. In these issues there is an issue which causes by improper installation of ROMs or Recovery. The problem is "Unknown Baseband".
Ans. Simply go to Settings>About Phone and check Baseband Version.
Q. How can I fix this issue?
Ans. Actually It's very easy!! Lets do it step by step.
=> Install ES File Explorer( You Can Also Use Root Explorer )
=> Open ES File Explorer
=> On Root Explorer
=> Grant Root Permission
=> Click On Root Explorer
=> Click On Mount As
=> Than Mount As R/W
=> Than Go To Device
=> Than Go To Data
=> Than Find A Folder Named "nvram"
=> Delete "nvram" Folder
=> Now Reboot
Hollllaaahhh You Have Successfully Fixed Your Unknown Baseband.
If this method doesn't worked for you than there is only a single way! You have to flash your Stock Firmware through PC.
Q. How can I prevent my phone from this problem?
Ans.
*If you are flashing a ROM than please do a full wipe for clean Installation.
*Make a backup of your nvram through TWRP Recovery.

Ans. Unknown Baseband is serious issue because Baseband contains configurations about SIM detection. If you have Unknown Baseband in your phone than your SIM card/cards will not get detected by your phone.So you will not able to use your SIM services.
