So, cause nobody said it clearly: de-branding Lumia 800 by this method gives you SIM Network unlock?

Awesome!

Thanks for the information!

The only thing I'm having now, is that the Product Support Tool is still not seeing my Lumia 800 RM-801 059L9Q7.
I have the files in the right folder.
Installed all the drivers from "C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Drivers".
I started the tool, did as shown, untill the error pops up "Application has lost its connection to the device".
I did as said in the box, but I have no clue what the status is of the device.
Is it on, is it off, is it in some dead brick state with the power on, but unable to boot or continue after the first power signal has been given.
Phone never vibrates.
Even when I try to power it down, or giving it an hard reset.

I tried it all. No connection. No clue.. Any help?

Edit:
- Tried the following:
- Hold the power button for 60 seconds to force the power down.
- Hold the Vol. Up button.
- Insert USB cable, without releasing the Vol. Up button.
- Pressed Start (still holding Vol. Up button).
- 1st pop-up, pressed Retry (still holding).
- 2nd pop-up, pressed retry (still holding).
- No connection (still holding Vol. Up button).

Edit2:
I think I really have to give it up. Its dead, as in dead. Not even bricked, its in Smartphone heaven.. :(

Since it is not possible anymore to download Firmwares via NaviFirm, does anyone have a NL or EU Firmware for the RM-801 available for me to download?

Lumia literally Dead

Hi everybody.
I've there a Lumia 800 literally dead, caused by Windows Phone 7.8.
It is there with OR Nokia write or "empty battery" symbol.
I followed some and some guides, about hard reset o other procedures, but nothing.
I saw this topic and I want to ask:
In a situation like mine, could I use this flashing guide for re-activate this phone?
And If Yeas, where I could download Firmware Files?

Thanks everybody! :)

P.S. I'm Italian too! ;)

Ohh, it's a miracle: during the last try of doing an hard reset, the phone turned on! :D

Ok, I have a Lumia 800 with no life signs - doesn't vibrate when plugged in with Vol+, doesn't hard reset, etc... I even removed the battery, charged it manually with a stripped USB cable, checked its voltage - all good. However no life seems to sprawl from it, and neither XP nor Win7 Device Manager sees any change when I connect it via USB. The NCS method doesn't do any good either - keeps asking me to connect the phone no matter what I do.

The question is - is it bricked for good? I've tried NCS on Win7 and Win XP via Virtualbox. Win8 and OSX don't see the device either.

You need to find a repair shop that have JTAG interface for nokia lumia 800.

Hey,

I would really appreciate some help here. My lumia 800 is not completely dead but I still can't make this guide work. Basically it gets recognized as a Qualcomm CDMA technologies MSM but I cannot install a driver for it. It vibrates if I reset the charging cycle (holding power button for 8 sec) and it gives a long and then a short vibration.

Connecting it to NCS with volume up pressed does nothing. Any ideas?

edit: I should also mention that I did not format the phone in windows.

I have the same kind of problem. One long, and then a short vibration. All over and over again...
Did you solve yours?
