Try a factory reset ( Backup all apps photos etc ) if that doesn't work unsubscribe from beta program and go back to nougat that should restore data.:fingers-crossed:

Tried a lot of times to do the steps. I was on DBT CSC. So I used SamFirm to download the BTU one. Installed and got PHN CSC. Could see Beta access in notices but got an error, device not compatible. UK SIM was inserted. Apparently mine fails for not UK CSC.
Downloaded MOB CSC which is not OXM (per other instructions), flashed.
Then reflashed BTU and I got PHN again. Either with UK SIM card in phone or not.
After flashing 6 times I gave up.

OK. Managed to do it and get Beta.
As far as I understand it, the steps to flash a non OXM CSC are redundant. If you are on OXM like mine was (DBT first and PHN after several efforts) these are the steps.
1. Remove any SIM
2. Download the combination file listed in the posts above.
3. Flash it as BL and the HOME_CSC file from the OXM image you have installed now(yes just those two).
4. Give it time to boot into service/test mode
5. Press the 9 dot pattern button up left.
6. Select Factory_IME (nothing to do with IMEI so don't bother scripting down yours).
7. A keypad will display on screen.
8. Enter code *#243203855#
9. A list comes up with all the OXM CSC you can have.
10. Select BTU and aplly/set (don't remember the exact wording).
11. Turn off and reboot. Repeat from 4 to see if the current CSC is BTU.
12. Turn off and insert UK SIM card
13. Reboot into download mode.
14. Flash your 4 OXM files (BL, AP, CP, CSC).
15. Boot into Android.
16. Restore your data/accounts/whatever so as to log in to Samsung.
17. Check Samsung Members app. If the beta is still going on you should see an invitation. Register there.
18. Wait for update to come (around 1.3 GB).
19. Install enjoy.
20. I replaced my carrier's SIM after Oreo beta installed. Just to be sure. No reboot request after SIM card change, unlike Android 7. Just like Nexus/Pixel.
21. No Knox tripped, no errors.

Just registered with my G955F(BTU) with 3Three Sim-Card with no problems at all.

Why wont it show in my notifications section? Im in the uk, on ee. Registered the phone in the members app and nothing....

You are sure you're registered?! When you tap on the invitation in Member app, does it say "De-Register"?
If it does, reboot>Settings>Software Update>Force the update.
When I say registered I mean it is showing in the my products section. The invitation isn't there in the notices section. I would upload a screen shot but im using xda legacy and it says the feature has been disabled.
Does this make it any clearer?

The my products section of the members app... yes the phone is all original I have not altered a thing.... sim free?? Im not sure about that, I got it from ee telesales... not got another sim to check it with... is there another way?

It was the legacy app that wouldn't let me upload... changed now lol

In Samsung Members>Notices>Tap on the picture saying "Beta Registration" and that gets you registered.
As I said.... it's not there. I guess it's not meant to be for me.
