Well, then if you're on a Custom Rom just take your ROM and reflash it over your existing Rom. That should work. And well, if it doesn't, you'll have to completely flash your Rom, with wiping and everything.
Just back everything up and you're good to go.

Guys, the only way to inchrease the earpiece volume (and it is loud) is by cleaning the grill. Those small tiny holes will accumulate a lot of dust in time and the sound will not propagate through. It's a relatively simple process, you just have to remove the screen. Only do this if you know what you are doing, for me it worked fine!

Thank you for your message. It put me on the right track.
I didn't want to mess by removing the screen, so I just cleaned the grill using a needle. Gently turn the needle in each hole, starting from the bottom range. remove the dust that went out of the hole on the grill and on the needle between each hole. Be careful, the needle WILL scratch your grill! I'm not responsible if you are not happy with this. It's worth it though, I can ear people on the phone again.
