Brightness bug where if you leave the slider below 100% and lock the screen you wont see anything, and overlay where is misplaced, root it and flash this module
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gsi-brightness-fix-other-fixes.4447091/

You wont get access to the 48MP camera, no fix

Thats all I know
Did you know the overlay fix for gsi? You can see many apks in /system/product/overlay of all gsi except m3pro because no developer made it before.

Yeah, could really help. I tried to open the bat file too in the file but it kept crashing
okay so first of all, install mediatek drivers, you can find them on the mtk website, then you have to install MTKAuth Bypass V44 or any version that supports MT6833
Power off your device and then open MTKAuthbypass on your PC, click bypass or disable Auth and then connect your phone to your pc while holding down Power and both volume buttons, hold em until your phone is detected by the pc and it'll automatically bypass the auth and say something like your phone is ready to be flashed by SP flash tool, Open SPFlash tool and load the scatter from the images folder of your ROM folder, open configuration of SP flash tool and select Enable UART, select your phone COM port and then ok, once you've done that, Click Flash or Start and it'll start flashing the Stock ROM, once it's done, unplug your device and hard restart the device and wollah! your device is unbricked and the stock rom is installed

it comes in the rom folder under the images folder
I got the scatter file, when j put it in it fails says it's incorrect

    Hi wetito,

looking at ur suggestion I choose Spark for my Redmi 10 5G, I downloaded "SparkOS-13.1-arm64_bgN-Unofficial.img" from the site. Everything seems ok, but I have a big issue because often I unlock the phone but the screens is totally black, I can hear when I click something but cannot see anything. Then I lock again and unlock...same behavior, I have to restart the phone pressing the power button. Any idea?
You need to install the backlight fix Brightness Fix & Overlay.zip/Camellia Brightness Fix using Magisk.

Thank you, I'm going to root Spark GSI but looking at the guide in post #1 I don't understand how to follow the root guide. I opened the spark....img.xz file but cannot find any boot.img to patch with magisk...I'm really in trouble, cannot understand how to root these GSI builds...

In any case, I understand that I'm obliged to root the Spark room because of this issue...I'm ok for rooting, but for people who does not want there's no possibility to fix this?

You root GIS builds the same way as any other builds: https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html

As for without root, I am not aware of a method other than this.

you have to patch boot.img of stock fastboot rom, not gsi. gsi contain only system.img

how can i enter fastbootd mode? when I press down and power on, only fastboot with the rabbit appears, first it gave me fastbootd, however in fastboot mode I still tried to do fastboot reboot fastboot, but it gave me an error, then I tried again to do fastboot flash system, always error this partition doesnt exist
    adb reboot bootloader
    fastboot reboot fastboot
    >congrats ure in fastbootD (blue logo)

if you're getting errors when typing fastboot reboot , , , download LATEST OFFICIAL PLATFORMTOOLS FROM GOOGLE

when u get the latest version you won;t get an error and u can only flash system from fastbootD (fastboot reboot fastboot)

Nippon gsi is the largest community of ported gsi. but flash carefully. not al generic gsi are compatible with stock vendors driver. after rebbot you can have some bugs. but the stock system can be easily restored. i suggest ported gsi from redmi note 8
