Step 11 doesn't work

These are the Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM Windows Vista 32-bit drivers for those of you who are having trouble installing the drivers. I have only noticed this problem on Windows Vista, and therefore I have created this thread.

I have only tested the below procedure on Windows Vista 32-bit.

Please note that I am not responsible for any damages caused to your windows system as a result of wrongly in putting the codes below.

Also note that following the installation of the drivers by this method may result in Test Mode being displayed on your desktop wallpaper.

Let’s get started:
1) Download, extract and place the Qualcomm folder on your desktop.

Installing the certificate:
2) Double click on “qcusbtest.cer” and open it.
3) Click on “Install Certificate.”
4) Select “Place certificate in the following stores”
5) Place the certificate in “Trusted Root Certification Authorities.”
6) Click Next, then Finish.
7) Follow steps 2 to 4
8) Place the certificate in “Trusted Publishers”
9) Click Next, then Finish.
10) Run Command Prompt as administrator (Start>Type “Command Prompt”>Right-click on command prompt and select “Run as administrator”)

In the below steps replace the red [insert] boxes with the relevant configurations of your system.

Next:
11) On command prompt type:
Code:
cd C:\Users\[COLOR="Red"][Insert Your Windows Username Here][/COLOR]\Desktop\Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM\Drivers
12) Then type:
Code:
PnPUtil -i -a msmdm.inf
13) You should receive a success message.
14) Repeat for the other .inf files type:
Code:
PnPUtil -i -a qcmdm.inf
and then type:
Code:
PnPUtil -i -a qcser.inf
15) Reboot your PC

Now you should have the Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM drivers installed.

I followed your instructions up tp step 11 with no problem. At step 11 in Command Prompt I get response tat the command I enteren is not recognized, path specified not recognised ... I even tryed to type step 11 and 12 together wit no success. I am sorry, but not everybody is familiar wit Command Prompt and many people will be tankfull if you be more specific and give more detailed instructions how to enter instructions starting from step 11.Thanks

locked bootloader

Yes but Dload bootloaders are locked too and there is a solution with nokia care suite to flash the devices...
So maybe with my lumia 800 too :/
What don't you understand that the fact your phones bootloader is locked there is no way of unlocking it for nand access not even with Nokia care suite

the only way off the top of my head is by using a ATF box and soldiering direct to the phones motherboard

edit

what are you trying to do update the rom to a newer stock rom or flash a custom rom

I'm just trying to flash a rom, i don't need a custom rom. So i search a solution to flash the official rom in order to repair i hope my firmware problem .

So you say that without a ATF box i can't ? No software to flash it directly ?

You have to remove the Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM folder FROM the Files folder and place it on the desktop

---------- Post added at 07:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:47 PM ----------

Just for your information, on another project I had problems with the drivers found in this thread.
I found better ones (for my needs).
Sharing them with you, if you need them: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=94178707266554037186
Once unzipped just enter
Code:
PnPUtil -i -a *.inf

C:\Users\Neikki\Desktop\Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM\Drivers>PnPUtil -i -a *.inf
Microsoft PnP Utility

Processing inf : msmdm.inf
Adding the driver package failed : The third-party INF does not contain digital signature information.
Processing inf : qcmdm.inf
Adding the driver package failed : A problem was encountered while attempting to add the driver to the store.
Processing inf : qcser.inf

I have desktop pc with win 10 64bit and laptop with win 7 64bit. On the first one I was unable to install this driver, yet on my laptop it went smooth.
On win10 I had to disable digital signature information. To do that I:

Hold the shift key while clicking on Restart
Select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart

After Restart select option 7.

I still get Certificate issues after installing your certificate.

Start command prompt as admin and type "shutdown -o -r -t 0"

disable driver signatures :)

Now installed drivers fine, going to restart now hope it works :)

Using windows 8 x64
Got errors on all 3. Used this method and worked like a charm. Thanks buddy. :) :good:
