Thanks so much ! I did it with an additional help: in Odin I unchecked the "autoreboot" option, so at the end of recovery flash, yuu can decide when to reboot, ready to quicky override the system reboot pushing the recovery boot combo!yes: Hold "Volume down"+Power until your device goes black / reboot.
As fast as you can: now press and hold "Volume up"+Bixby+Power.
Device should boot into twrp and will be able to install it permanently.
If you are not fast enough, you will have to repeat the whole process, because twrp doesn't become permanent unless you boot directly into it.
At least that's what I understood. I'm not very experienced![]()
i said i backed to nougat because of TWRP Dosnt support Oero but you did not read thatWell in the reality i have a working system but in TWRP i cannot mount data, it says 0 mb, and the backups fail.
I did format data then flashed dmverity and magisk like indicated in OP.
Reading the entire thread, I'm not sure about this:
1) is possible to fix data not mounting in TWRP doing another format data? Or is not sure that this will work?
2) is this a twrp related issue so better to stay like this and wait for another twrp update?
Yes I read so for the reason i can stay with this working state until we have a Oreo TWRP, i was just asking:i said i backed to nougat because of TWRP Dosnt support Oero but you did not read that
Try itYes I read so for the reason i can stay with this working state until we have a Oreo TWRP, i was just asking:
There's no way this TWRP will work fine on Oreo right?
Its unuseful to try again format data correct?
I don't have any Nougat backup cause i got this device as a present 2 days ago. It i would like to downgrade to N and have a fully working twrp.No way even when you try to restore nougat backups it will fail So you can stay on Oreo until TWRP support it & i think that will take a time or you can flash nougat then restore your TWRP nougat backups
Simply flash your right rom with Odin .I don't have any Nougat backup cause i got this device as a present 2 days ago. It i would like to downgrade to N and have a fully working twrp.
Can you please point me in the right direction to go back to Nougat?
OMG Guys i said that why you did't read !!Please help me out. I do not get it why I have this problem?
I made a full back-up with Android 7.0.
I go in download mode and flashed original stock rom 8.0 with latest odin 3.13.1.
Phone is now stock 8.0.
Go in download mode en flash twrp-3.2.1-0-dreamlte.img with latest odin 3.13.1.
I am in TWRP and format data.
Reboot in recovery and flash no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.
Reboot in recovery and flash Magisk-v16.0(1600).
Reboot in recovery and go to recovery and select only data from my latest back-up.
Recovery is finished and I reboot system.
Now my phone is working like it was with all my apps.
But now I can not make a back-up and can not make a recovery from my latest back-up.
So, I am stuck right now. The message I get in TWRP is not mounting data and data/media.
The order I am used to is not working I believe.
Whom can help me out here?
