[GUIDE] [How To] Play Pokemon Go with Superuser (Root enabled)

I've remained unrooted for the past month (my game actually stopped logging in a week ago and I was assured I wasn't banned, but I couldn't log in to MY account on MY phone and only that scenario. I could log into other people's phones with my account and other accounts on my phone, but not both together).

I hesitate to re-root, but it becomes more apparent what I'm missing every day. I - for no reason whatsoever - got my game working again today. It finally let me log in after I had completely given up. I want to get this right.

And now, for the dumb question: Does this ONLY apply to CM? Will a stock ROM be completely useless here?

Do you think this would work on a OP3t? I tried the steps anyways and nothing's broken but I can't seem to get magisk hide to work. When I reboot the box for enabling magisk hide is unchecked

Just curious but checked the updated methods with OOS 4.0 official,freedom OS 2.0,freedom OS 2.1, OOS beta 10 official and Freedom OS 2.2.1 cw and all worked and passed the safetynet!!! Thanx @svprm for your efforts...

Sorry to disturb this thread, but I am a bit confused because the official Magisk thread nowhere mentions that phh's su would be the only working su solution:



So I am really wondering about your step 2 ...

As long as the SU is systemless, Magisk should work.

Did everything , but when I try to enable Magisk hide, after reboot it's unchecked ... so Safety fails .. I'm on S6 edge 6.0.1 with custom kernel N0G33K by Quintz ...

Is there anything I can do ? I miss playing PoGo , but I still need root

It doesn't work in OOS 4.0.1 rom. It gives me error in the process of flashing Magisk 10.2

I didn't try on OOS 4.0.1.

After you have checked Magisk Hide in the settings, You have to reboot your mobile.
Then Safety Net will pass and PoGo will work.

You dont need to enable(Check Box) PoGO in the Magisk Hide list.
You have to Enable Magisk Hide check box in the Magisk Settings Menu.Then Reboot and Check for Safety Net Pass.

you had root before? got the same error when I had root and tried to install Magisk. I had to reinstall stock rom, twrp and then instaled magisk and it worked
