There are a couple of other smaller things he left out but those things may vary from rom to rom. I think its good that the guide gives you just enough info, so you have to actually go through the learning process and ask around a bit.

Still don't need that much RAM, but 800 for that setup is quite cheap. Nice!Well if you have 2 moniters at 1080p and are playing battlefield. Also, its great for encoding video. Besides,the entire rig only ran me around 800 which isn't that much if you look at the specs
