That's because you have the International Version... on AL-00 we are still left with no option to change the Launcher....

Do you know which is the last firmware version that could use any launcher?


I have ordered another m20 X from china which should be arriving soon

If I can get nova launcher working I'd rather use it and stay without ota updates

I have the Nova Launcher running on .198

On Version 9.0.0.200 you cannot use third party launchers.... Cheers

Thanks for this, but unfortunately it didn't work for me on the Mate 30 Pro (v.125).

Package Disabler states "This package cannot be disabled"...

Not working on Emui 10 anymore, I mean you can still disable default launcher but then your third-party launcher (in my case Lawnchair) won't be able to see recent apps, the Recent key button does nothing !! unless you re-enabled default launcher it starts working again, but every now and then pressing Home key brings you back to default launcher, and after every system updates!

Anyone got a solution for this?

is there still no way to unlock the bootloader on the chinese m20 X ?
i would love to switch the launcher and do a few other stuff that requires root

(also for m20 X users ,whats the optimal resultution to watch youtube videos at on this device with resultion set at stock DPI
? )

Help for Tasker to use Nova launcher on huawei mate 20x

Since the chinese Huawei phones don't allow the use of third party launcher like in my case with my mate 20x

I thaught that it would be great to use Tasker to trigger Nova launcher every time i press the home button ..

It is possible to use Nova launcher but you cannot set it as a default launcher so every time you press home button, it goes back to Huawei original Launcher

So the solution would be to set a profile in Tasker based on the action of pressing home button than create a task that would launch Nova launcher

I tried many times but cant figure out how to set up this profile and make it work !!

I tried to create a profile with Event that use AutoInput plugin and choose Key than on the list Home after that i created a task choosing Nova as an App to launch but it doesnt work
