Yeah I am stuck at the first screen too..

When I unzipped AbyssNote kernel 4.2 Final CW Touch Custom Logo, it was zlmage, not .tar file extension. Tried putting .tar at the end, still no luck.

I also tried CF-ROOT 5.3V, it was successfully flashed but again I was stuck at the first screen with yellow triangle at the bottom.

Am I trying out wrong kernels?

EDIT: I managed to find .tar file of Abyss kernel and flashing was successful, still cannot get into recovery ... seems pretty hopeless now
To get into recovery hold power-volumeup and home when booting. There is some video on the web that show how to do it and helpful guide at this site:

http://rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-no...oted-galaxy-note-using-clockworkmod-recovery/.

If you cannot get into recovery and adb connected then this method will not be used.

Yea I know how to get into recovery mode, but it just hangs on the first screen.

Thank you so much for your help so far. I really appreciate it :) I will just have to visit Service centre tomorrow.

However, I am also sorry that I cannot test out your method :(

Try to hook up your note to the pc and test, even though it hangs on a black screen, it might still be able to communicate.

You need to be patient. Run adb shell again first. Then copy and past command line but leave out the first 2 characters becausy they just indicate ithe command is run under adb shell - already shelled in the phone. Try again and see how it go.

And it looks like you did not hit enter after each command line? By the way connecting to adb is good sign of life for your note.

When I try to get into recovery mode, computer recognizes my phone. The weird thing is, the phone reboots itself every 10 sec ... Which means I cannot enter all the commands in time ...

Once it reboots, it is no longer recognized by computer but it does not reboot. Weird thing here is, the comp recognizes my phone as SAMSUNG mobile USB Composite device, but once I try adb shell command, it does not detect my device ...

Well I might just visit service centre tomorrow... :(

When I have problem with adb driver I reinstalled Kies and update it, then adb works fine again. Still if you are not familiar with adb then I would recommand not trying any further.

erm...

mine got ./bricked as well...

i can't do that repartitioning trick by drnull

if i try to adb shell, then i get something like an error ("/system/bin/sh not found")... am i doing something wrong? I wanna try repartitioning before sending it back to Samsung Service.

What i also found out: with CWM root Kernel by CF installed if i try "mount /system" or "mount /data", CWM tells me that it couldn't find these two partitions. What is wrong there? Will i be able to fix this somehow? I would appreciate any help on this.

Thanks in advance.

At least you can get into recovery ... I could not even install the CWM recovery :(

Regardless of that, if you did what I did, you won't be able to restore it unless you can repartiton it. It is now hardbrick ... You will have to send it off to Samsung

I did the following in the last 1 hour:

- flashed Abyss Kernel 4.2 with CWM Touch Recovery v5.8.1.5 via PC ODIN
- booted my Galaxy Note into CWM Touch
- formatted /SYSTEM within CWM Touch successfully :-D
- mounted /SYSTEM
- successfully ADB PUSHed something (just to test) into /SYSTEM/BIN from PC :-D

I am currently unpacking original firmware and will then try to push /SYSTEM/BIN/SH back to my Note. If i can then run it from PC, i will try repartitioning via PARTED. If that is also successful, i will try reinstalling GB firmware via PC ODIN.

Stay tuned.

Good to hear of good progress :) . If you can format system try to do restore from your gb rom if you have it backup before. Otherwise, you may find a safe gb rom to flash from cwm or
Odin and may not even need to repartition. Try those option first to see how it goes.

You might try to format the /data aswell. if it can do that sucesfully you might be able to flash a GB with odin
