Yeah man ... Try flashing incredikernel for aosp GB ROMs at incredikernel.com and flash the gapps :) are you getting the cm7 bootani

Flashed incredikernel and I'm still not having any luck.

I do get the CM7 boot animation. It sits there for a while loading (like a good minute or two), then it loops back to the boot ani over and over every few seconds.

Stock sense was bootlooping to begin with, which was why I tried moving to CM7.

I just noticed that I get an error when formatting /data and /cache. :(
Alright now we get somewhere :) run the pb31img I sent you and let it boot or boot loop than flash recovery and try to wipe again

After running PB31IMG again, the phone finally booted, but it's just a wall of force closing (like every process that tries to run is immediately force closed).

Wiped data/factory reset from recovery and it says it worked, but when I manually wipe the /data and /cache both still have errors and don't format.

After that, it boots (after a reaaalllly long time), but every process still force closes.

I think you have a bad nand and have to flash this before a ROM http://d-h.st/XHg

I flashed your NAND fix and then loaded the PB31IMG again and I'm back to getting the phone booted, but with everything force closing.
That is very odd ... Go to the hboot and select fastboot then hook to your computer and type fast boot erase data in a cmd/terminal while in your adb dir

Hmmmm..... What recovery do you use .. Can you try flashing twrp and doing a factory reset then reboot

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I've been using clockworkmod, the recovery image provided in the guide.

I flashed twrp and did a factory reset, after rebooting it does the same thing as earlier where it takes a really long time to boot, then it force closes everything.

small issue here also. made it through the HBOOT. successfully installed recovery by fastboot usb. reboot into recovery, all good. then when i select any option (even reboot or power off) instead of going to execute that option, it simply removes all options on the screen and only shows the background image in recovery. the little Hat thing lol. however, if i hit the power button again, it goes back to the main menu in recovery and i can scroll up or down with the volume buttons. select a option and same thing, everything disappears except the background. weird huh

Can't Install BusyBox

Hi, Sorry to pester for such an old phone, but I've gotten through all the steps and am stuck on the BusyBox installation. It just hangs. I'm hoping there is something stupid I am doing wrong and need some help.

I've tried three different su.zip files.
I've tried three different busybox installers.

SuperUser installs, but then crashes, I'm assuming because busybox is not installed.

Is there a manual way to install it? Am I really rooted? The busybox installer says that I am on the main screen.

Thank you in advance

When you opened the busybox app and pressed install, did it prompt you for root permission?

noob probs with HTC Inc S root.

:crying: Can anybody advise a noob stuck on instruction 12. Everything going well until I selected 'recovery' and the phone is stuck on the white 'htc' screen for about an hour now.

I tried repeating instructions 10 , 11 and 12 again but it stops at the attempt to invoke 'recovery'.

Any Help Very Much Appreciated.
