i have kernel permissive but still can not root my T815Y ( OK5 bootloader and modem) :
Flash permissive kernel via odin > done
Flash TWRP via odin > done
Reboot to recovery > flash SuperSU v2.67 beta > done
Reboot and bootloop :(
You miss the step: flash root via odin. (between kernel and twrp)

Flashing su doesn't root your device. Once it's rooted, su helps you control which app has root access and which don't.

Still android 5.0.2
When i flashed SuperSu with TWRP it will bootloop when reboot.
There is something odd about that build of 5.0.2 for the sm-t815y. Shouldnt be bootlooping with a permissive kernel.
Try flashing supersu v2.52.

Bootloop on 5.1.1 after successfully flashing permissive kernel

**EDIT** I'm an idiot. Can delete post upon request, but keeping below as an example of what not to do. I flashed autoroot and thought it was the permissive kernel. Flash the .boot tar file, folks.
--I have now flashed the permissive kernel, THEN autoroot with much success. Hurray!
/EDIT

So, I noticed that this subject was dropped after Page 12, and I'm hoping that means that there's a solution. I just got the latest firmware for 5.1.1, and began trying to root with the permissive kernel (Thanks ashyx!). That all went well in Odin, following OP to the T, but I still wound up stuck on a bootloop. Tried to do it again with no changes, and still bootloop. Everything appears to have gone fine on Odin, but I don't know where to go from here.

If you'll notice from SS, my Odin log is from 2nd flash attempt.

Can we start again here from the beginning as I'm getting a little confused as to what you are referring to.

What exactly are you trying to flash and with what? Please be a bit more descriptive in what you are doing and what is happening.
ok sorry for a late reply but this is what I have done, first I flash the custom Kernel (T810) then cf-autoroot, after that I got this error "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing" so I google it and found your post(#98) then tried to flash TWRP. At first it didn't work my tablet just hang around 99% and not doing anything. I let it set for and hour and nothing happen so I tried again to flash TWRP but this time with auto reboot enable and it work but i still have the error "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing". is there any way I can fix this ?

sorry if i don't make any scents .

"Kernel is not seandroid enforcing" is exactly what it says.... You flashed the permissive kernel and selinux is no longer enforcing...
It will always say that. ;)
Also when you reboot to TWRP it will say "Recovery is not seandroid enforcing".
So, needless to say (well, I said it), that is normal.

Sorry for spamming this forums, but rly want to figure out how to do all things right. Got my tablet today, model 710 and running T710XXU2AOJ4. In one thread I got the explanation that I could just flash TWRP with Odin then boot into TWRP do a backup with it and flash SuperSU 2.65 with TWRP. But @halloarno mentioned that flashing SuperSu zip wont give root. So how is it? Should I use this guide or can I just flash TWRP for 5.0.2, then flash SuperSU zip with it?

To gain root acces you need to follow OP. Once you did, root is accessible for everything. Also things that can harm your phone now. So most people want a controler which app can have root access en which not. Superuser can do that for you (sort of portcontroller).

So in summary the steps you have to do to get starting:
READ op!!!!!! Its explained all there. Follow it step by step.
If your running 5.0.2: go on (or consider to flash oj1 or oh7 with odin first to get 5.1.1) (If your running 5.1.1, first flash a permissive kernel (odin))
Root your device (odin)
Flash twrp on it (odin)

From here you can flash mods/zips with twrp, like superuser.zip or a new rom or.... whatever.

Thank you very much. Now all the process is more clearer. The only question I have is how to know which bootloader revision is my device on? The firmware code now is T710XXU2AOJ4. That number means it's revision 2 ? Or is it still rev 1 because it's 5.0.2? And I thinking I should flash this http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/58918/T710XXU2BOJ1_T710XAR2BOJ1_XAR/ because it has that second bootloader too right? Thx for the help!

Edit:
Ok so now if I want to flash this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/development/rom-neked-nook-oj1-5-1-1-710-t3317823 because it looks already pre set and I will not need to debloat my self. I still need to upgrade to 5.1.1 with oding? Or I can just flash TWRP and Flash this ROM?

Thx to all that helped to figure out how to flash 5.1.1 and root the device. Did all that according to OP and all was OK ;) Rooted and testing 5.1.1. Noticed a rly strange thing that I can't use the slider if I use the auto brightness with 5.0.2 I was able to increase or decrease brightness in notification tray. Now if I use the slider it just turn off the auto brightness. Any way to fix that? :)

P. S. Sry for the off-topic
