[GUIDE] How to skip & avoid EDL auth bypass and FLASH in DOWNLOAD MODE for MERLIN (Redmi Note 9 / Redmi 10X 4G)

If you want to AVOID bypassing authentication in EDL mode, everything you need to do is flash the Preloader Binary V12.0.4.0.QJOMIXM.
If you flash the Preloader Binary V12.0.4.0.QJOMIXM, you can flash in DOWNLOAD MODE using SP FLASH TOOL and you do NOT need to bypass auth on EDL mode.

What devices does this work on?​

- Xiaomi Redmi Note 9
- Xiaomi Redmi 10X 4G

What versions does this work on?​

This works on ANY MIUI versions.

What versions does this work on?​

This has been tested on ALL MIUI versions.

Can this brick my device?​

Absolutely NOT.
ANY preloader of ANY version works on ANY MIUI version.
Safely and securely.

Does this require unlocked bootloader?​

NO. You can flash it even with locked bootloader.

It works perfectly.
I'm currently on MIUI V12.5.3.0 but preloader keeps on V12.0.4.0 and I don't need to bypass EDL because DOWNLOAD MODE keeps working.

Hello, does it work even for Redmi Note 9 Pro ? Its qualcomm cpu based one isnt it?
Do you know where to find a scatter file for this : miui_JOYEUSEEEAGlobal_V12.0.4.0.QJZEUXM_597eda23b4_10.0 ?
I only found these scatter files like : MT6768_Android_scatter--AL2522-Merlin-V039-Q-0513--download_true--boundary_false but I think I am not runing MT6768, but some Qualcomm cpu like snapdragon if I am right.

No. For qualcomm snapdragon, you need to flash a firehose for bypassing EDL authentication.
Try to search in google.

thats' what im searching for Redmi 8A - unfortunately all search results lead to your Mediatek posts because you misuse the term "EDL mode" - Mediatek does not have EDL mode (only Qualcomm has)
