You must use the fastbootimage which is the same as it was on your phone when it was stock."ginkgo_global_images_V11.0.12.0.PCOMIXM_20201119.0000.00_9.0_global_37804edbcb.tgz from https://bigota.d.miui.com/V11.0.11....XM_20201001.0000.00_9.0_global_389eff34c9.tgz"
These two files are not the same? Is that a mistake on your part; do I download the one from the link or go search for the one you mentioned we should downloads?
Try the latest OrangeFox Recovery, I had decryption problems using twrp and A11. Otherwise if you can reach fastboot maybe try to reinstall the original stock rom again using official xiaomi flash tool, just make sure to use "clean all" NOT "clean and unlock"Wow, boy did this event set in motion a series of disasters.
Phone works. Stuck with STOCK ROM, can't root, everything is un decryptable with TWRP.
Lame.
check the comments after the post, I linked the 2mm double sided tape I used and It's still working great. Either that or b7000 glue.Thank you very much for creating this post, I have managed to revive my redmi note 8 that I had left as a paperweight after trying a downgrade.
By the way, could someone give me a tip to place the back cover after the test point?
So I know that my phone was from batch 2020.11 and came with V11.0.11.0.PCOMIXM, which came out in 2020-10 according to https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/ginkgo/ . Following that logic I'd guess that your phone came with V11.0.8.0.PCOMIXM.I have a Redmi note 8 Ginko global with the same problems as on description on the thread batch 05.2020 what rom do i need to use. I dont remember what version of miui 11 phone came out of the box
i have the same problem... do know fix ...I´ve done everything but this damm SaharaServer Fail is killing me.
I got the Redmi note 8 .
Any hint ?
and I also need to figure out how to stick backplate to phone again so that it can be removed if needed while still preserving some kind of waterproof function..
