I think I figured it out. My SuperSU needed an update, something about the binary. I updated that and then retried deleting the Amazon app. Did it through TiBu and then rebooted/wiped through TWRP.

Now the app is nowhere to be found! Looks like the issue was with SuperSU. I'm going to try and delete all the others and see if it works properly like it did with the Amazon app.

Success! All the other apps I deleted are now gone for good. Thanks everyone for the help and assistance.

One more question for the experts...now that I've got a properly unlocked and rooted Droid Turbo, what else can I do with it now? I don't necessarily want a ROM but some tweaks to the phone might be nice. Maybe an Xposed module?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There's lots of stuff besides ROMs in the miscellaneous section of the OP. I'm a fan of Viper4Android.

I know you don't want a "ROM", but you might consider ComputerFreak274's stock-based ROM. It's just de-bloated, tweaked stock Verizon Motorola Marshmallow firmware. Has audio boost and some other stuff too -- battery tweaks, speed tweaks, cache tweaks, etc.

If you are a Verizon user, right now this is the only "ROM" that lets you keep VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling on Verizon.

You can still install Xposed with this, he tells you how to do it in his op.

I'm on Resurrection Remix Marshmallow myself, so I'm not suggesting it because I use it (I have XT1225, not XT1254). I'm suggesting it because it's basically stock firmware the way Verizon/Motorola should have released it. ;) It's a "ROM" for XT1254 Verizon users who don't want full custom ROMs.

@TheSt33v

Can you update the OP, as SunShine now unlocks the Droid Turbo on 6.0.x
$10 it's just a security patch rushed out to block Sunshine. ;) EVERYBODY will rush to install it before unlocking their bootloader.

Motorola Droid Turbo to receive Soak Test; could a surprise Nougat update be on the way?

If you own the DROID Turbo, don't get your hopes up too high. These type of surprises rarely ever happen. Additionally, the fact that Motorola wants to rush this Soak Test probably means that the update contains something less earth shattering than a new Android build. Instead, it might offer a few bug fixes or the latest Google security patch.

Need some help with uninstalling bloatware. Unlocked my Droid Turbo on 6.x and gained root access. So the first thing I wanted to do is remove bloatware. Downloaded Titanium Backup and tried to uninstall some apps...Amazon, Audible, NFL. Titanium says it was successful, but the app icons still remain. When I click on the icon, it says the app has stopped.

Any ideas on why it won't uninstall?
Be careful deleting boatware. The phone number need it for what ever reason. Some apps might now work too. I messed up before doing it and paid for it. I installed a custom ROM. There is a program you can download that will aid you in boatware and will back it up for use later if you have a problem. I cannot remember it off hand. Rootjunky done a video on it.

Only xposed I have install is the YouTube add block . I have gravity box for other tweaks. I am on CFs 1.06 mm ROM. I like his work. Check it out.

......Really now. Well, the turbo still has impressive specs for a 2 year old phone.

just unlocked mine recently but is there anyway to remove the annoying warning of the unlocked bootloder?
Nope, no way at all. Your only hope is to use the search function to find one of the several threads explaining exactly how to do it, with two different simple methods and pre-packaged files, including the OP of this very thread you posted in. </sarcasm>

Well i did this https://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/development/unlocked-warning-fix-version-1-t3258443 and it's not working, and i wanted to install a Nougat rom but i can't? it gives me error when it's trying to flash...

And also is there anyway to remove the sim card warning? I am using it abroad but it seems it's not like the others phones that i have bought from Verizon or even Sprint that i could easily get rid of the sim card warning

Boot Logos - warning replacement

BOOT LOGOS - WARNING REPLACEMENT

just unlocked mine recently but is there anyway to remove the annoying warning of the unlocked bootloder?
In this very thread you are posting:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70522598&postcount=521

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69721256&postcount=433

I found those posts (mine, by the way) using a very complex search algorithm: boot logo :p

In that thread you just mentioned, see this very explanatory post. Next to last page:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69997186&postcount=34

Also my post because that method in that op does not work -- but if you go to the last page or two, you will see I posted solutions because you are not the first to complain about that.

Here's a simple rule for XDA. Besides reading the op, always go read the last 2 or 3 pages.

I have not heard of any Nougat for our Turbos. Just rumors about a soak test that could be 7.0 bit more less a security patch update.

* On all CM/LOS based custom ROMs, the Quark Ambient Display takes the place of Moto Display.
If the settings are enabled properly, it does exactly the same thing -- with hand wave, device pick up, etc.

The the official Quark CM dev @Skrilax_CZ spent a lot of time and effort working on to replicate Moto Display behavior, especially with the IR sensors in our phones (pick-up phone, wave your hand, etc.). The Quark Ambient Display is not to be confused with the regular Android Ambient Display, in other phones.

(Quark) Ambient Display also works better than Moto Display for me. I actually ended up disabling Moto Display because it worked terribly for me. Ambient Display has been a lot better.

And some people are asking for Moto Display because they didn't even know Ambient Display is meant to function the same way, and thought that since Moto Display wasn't available, nothing was available. But yes, some have requested Moto Display because their experience with (regular Android) Ambient Display did not match their experience with Moto Display, but a few times I've seen it was because of something else affecting causing Ambient Display to malfunction.

These are the settings that affect Ambient Display in CM12.1, and are basically the same even on Nougat ROMs but may be in slightly different places. Check your settings on these THREE pages. Occasionally, when first setting up the phone you may have to turn OFF the settings, then turn them back on. But you should only have to do that the very first time, IF it's not working as expected.

* "OK Google" (with Google Assistant) or other 3rd party apps (at least half a dozen) do the same function as Moto Voice commands.

Bottom line is while 2 or 3 years ago, Motorola had something different, there's nothing really unique anymore about any Moto apps.

Except for Moto Display and Moto Voice (which have able replacements just mentioned), several of the Nougat custom ROMs also have Google Play permission flags to allow you to download and install almost all the Moto apps, if you wish.

However, none of the custom Nougat ROMs allow Verizon VoLTE or Verizon Wi-Fi calling, if that's important to you.

If you use Verizon and VoLTE is important to you, or you insist on Moto Display instead of the Quark Ambient Display, then there's a debloated, tweaked Marshmallow ROM based on stock firmware you should use.

OK, so you're not on Verizon.(i.e. GSM/HSPA references).

What carrier are you on? If AT&T they shut down their 2G network end of 2016.

Why can't you flash a Nougat ROM?

If you have TWRP installed, you can flash whatever you want.

See here.

For SuperSu, on some Quark Nougat ROMs there seems to be an issue the devs haven't solved or wanted to solve. They seem to like their own built-in SU solution. Whereas I prefer SuperSu.

Other devices are able to use SuperSu with Nougat CM/LOS ROMs.

Droid Turbo is LTE network unlocked. But since Verizon doesn't use GSM or HSPA, those should be unlocked also.

It's only the CDMA bands Verizon won't state are unlocked. However, there are 3rd party unlockers.
