After root, no. The patch only prevents safetynet from seeing your unlocked bootloader. If you want root and Pokemon, you'll need a LOS based ROM and an app called iSu.
Glad I asked before I started thanks. I've rooted before but haven't installed custom roms so not sure I want to risk it.

To be honest .
I hate to play Pokémon.
Ok if you want use Pokémon the best way is to have saved a software without modifications in TWRP also is possible to have 2 versions at the same time in your Motorola.

Pokemon go can be played on a custom rom by flashing the bootloader bypass and then flashing the unroot file from Los. Otherwise use isu on custom ROM.

You can also flash the lollipop bootloader and this negates the need for the bootloader fix.

I accidently accepted to many system updates, now I am stuck with build number MCG24.251-5-5, I HAD MCG24.251-5 BEFORE. Can I roll back some how? Or flash the MCG24.251-5 firmware posted here? I had my S5 setup with lineage 14.1, just want a 7.0-7.1 type OS back.

Thanks

no downgrading firmware, unless bootloader is unlocked

Yes I have the droid turbo. I am saying I had an S5 rooted with lineage os 14.1 I'm saying I want this setup on my moto

But if I can't now, I'll send moto droid turbo back and get another one that hasn't had the updates.

But if someone knows how to root with MCG24.251-5-5, let me know lol

So can I flash the stock firmware to go back? Will factory reset work?

I enabled the "unlock bootloader" setting in developer settings

MCG24.251-5 is the ONLY version of Marshmallow Verizon firmware which Sunshine can unlock, along with the last two version of Lollipop firmware. Why would you accept ANY updates before unlocking your bootloader first?

Even if you were on Lollipop before, unlock the bootloader first! You can always flash any updates manually after that.

Can I roll back some how? Or flash the MCG24.251-5 firmware posted here?
No, you can't downgrade with a locked bootloader.

No, there's no way, and it was posted clearly not to accept the very latest update before unlocking your bootloader.

I'll be honest I didn't read about root method before I opened it and started going at it. Idk I guess I was just exploring around it. This would be like my fourth or fifth root I've done for myself, so still kind of new to it all.

I accidently put the same build number twice, that was a typo.

But if there is no other root method, its OK, I can just send it back and get another. Thanks anyway
