Need help
Well, at least HERE you didn't quote the ENTIRE OP like you did on my Quark guide.

My device HTC ONE M8
THAT is what you posted in my thread, after quoting the ENTIRE GUIDE.

WHY are you posting in Motorola Quark forums? On a PC, see the search box, upper right, on this XDA page? Type your device into that and it will take you to the HTC forum.

Or go to Google, type in your device and add the word XDA, then hit enter. You can easily find the correct XDA forum for your device and those users can help you.

Hey guys just a quick, hopefully easy question. I don't want to unlock anything. My dad lives in Uruguay South America. He's looking for a better phone than what he has. I'm traveling down there in a few months. If he just gets a new sim for it, will it work down there or do I need to do any of the steps in this thread?

No idea. You should probably compare the GSM and LTE bands that the Turbo is capable of receiving vs. the bands used by the carrier that your dad will be using.

But to answer your question, no. Nothing in this thread will help you with that.

Thank you. I figured it out. Glad I don't have to do any of the stuff in this thread. Thanks again!

I got a new Droid Turbo as a gift from my Gf .
It comes loaded with the latest firmware and there is no further updates available for the phone.
When i try to download any app from play store or update any current app , i am getting error saying that it cant be updates and error No 400 and 961 .
i tried all the methods told in google with vain and XDA is my last resort.
Please help me in getting the device play services working again .
Something i observed.
1. Everytime i download or update a app , it will get downloaded twice before giving the error.
2. Apps get struck in INSTALLING screen after a while. This wont go off until is clear cache.

can someone help me getting this resolved , i cant send this phone back as its not warranty covered. Please help

Are you certain that you have a Droid Turbo (xt1254) and not any other quark? All of them look the same and have the same specs except for the network bands. Some sellers might put on a back cover with the droid and verizon logo. The Droid Turbo has mainly U.S bands, it would be odd to see one in India....

If you have something other than a Droid Turbo, go to the Moto Maxx forum and flash a completely new rom if you haven't tried doing a factory reset. If you actually have a Droid Turbo then factory reset and clear the system cache, that's pretty much all you can do until a bootloader unlock method is out for the latest firmware.

Clear caches? Factory re-set?

Re-flash latest firmware via ADB?

Something is screwed up.

I have seen some Droid Turbo. XT1254 phones show up in India on the second hand market. Because it's the 32GB versions are less expensive than the 64GB-only XT1225, even used. (I know 64GB Droid Turbo exists, but very few people bought them. Whereas there's a flood of the 32GB on the re-sale market.)

But yes India's official Quark version was the Moto Turbo XT1225, as they don't need CDMA bands but could use the extra LTE and HSPA bands the XT1225 offers over the XT1254/XT1250.

But good point, he could be confusing the Moto Turbo (XT1225) with the Moto Droid Turbo (XT1254).

Go into "About Phone". Tell us the MODEL NAME, and the FIRMWARE VERSION you are seeing, please.
If you know how to take a screenshot that would be helpful to post here.

By the way, there aren't really any more "new" Droid Turbos. They are either used or refurbished. It's entirely possible, the re-seller who refurbished it screwed up installing the firmware.

I have not heard good things about kingroot. All I know use sunshine. They are very helpful. Kingroot is like creeping Charlie. Your at all out war to get rid of it.
i really really dont have $25 to pay for sunshine code.. not that i dont like to support developers..i actually do.. but i really dont have the money.. this is the first phone i have actually bought with my hard earned money for an amount equivalent to $84 in my country.. and im just coming to find out i need to pay for root.. i have rooted and flashed alot of phones with custom roms, for myself and others .. and i never come across bootloader unlock that i had to pay for.. so after trying hard to get this money in about 3months.. finding out i had to pay for root and be able to flash just killed me.. that is why im looking for a way to do it without sunshine code please help ... :(:(:(:(

You won't be able to get permanent root until you unlock the bootloader. Blame Verizon. The other Quark phones -- XT1250 (exact clone of the XT1254), and the XT1225 -- have free bootloader unlock from Motorola.
