@Skin1980 I can't flash system.img from fastboot just like you. I flash recovery and boot just fine, followed by TWRP. I enter TWRP but I can't sideload ADB (or mount /data) as I have no OS installed.

Do you have ANY clue of what to do?

Thanks in advance

i have same problem please Help!!

i am stuck in bootloop for last 12 hours i have flashed all firmwares but i cannot sideload ADB as i formatted everything in TWRP , haave no OS. i can flash boot and recovery but adb sideload when i give the commands i get ERROR

EDIT:
I was stuck for last 12 hours and watch was in bootloop. i tried flashin again and agin . i tried all firmwares

i think it was that i was using old adb and fastboot. the latest ones helped. Also there is no need to flash twrp. Even if you get file sparce file issue for system.img it still flashes fine within bootloader

Now i am back to LCB43B will try to update to 1.4 via stock recovery now

Edit2: Finally i am back on latest firmware MM flashed the the stock recovery version hurray :D

I'm uploading a zip file that can be flashed with twrp. It might restore stock system, boot and recovery so, after the flash, you should only relock bootloader anda you are good to go.

It's untested so only people that know how to restore the watch should try it.

Like i said, i dont own this watch so i can't test for you. Sorry.

You are THE MAN!!! I owe you TWO beer! I have been following the other method to do this, and something was wrong with the system.img and would not do anything past the Huawei logo. I downloaded your link, and it worked fine! Thank you!

Huawei Red Logo

Hi guys,

First I was having the spinning colors issue, but after doing about booting up in recovery mode, format userdata, cache, etc. Finally the watch begins to work. But after few days later the watch get out of battery, charge it up and again the spinning colors issue. This time the recovery, format user data, cache, etc, didnt work.

Then tried:
fastboot flash system boot.img
fastboot flash system recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
But the system.img cant be flashed.

Tried the:

1- First of all download the TWRP from the other thread and fastboot boot it:
Code:
fastboot boot TWRP2.8.7.0-Sturgeon.img
2 - Then push the system.img in the sdcard so:
Code:
adb push system.img /sdcard/

Appeared a message device null.

Also tried the adb sideload update.zip, begins to load the file, and when begins to install appear a message:
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Cant see the whole message because was a very fast message.

Please help me, I love this watch!

Hi guys, since the development is started i think that we also need a way to restore the watch to the stock FW.

HOWTO:

- download from the following links the boot, recovery and system image;
- reboot to fastboot and:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
and then go to recovery and do a wipe data / factory reset.

EDIT:

For some strange reason the system img flash didn't work properly on a device i could test. Here is the workaround:

1- First of all download the TWRP from the other thread and fastboot boot it:
Code:
fastboot boot TWRP2.8.7.0-Sturgeon.img
2 - Then push the system.img in the sdcard so:
Code:
adb push system.img /sdcard/
3 - Now flash it:
Code:
adb shell
dd if=/sdcard/system.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system
4 - reboot

As a newbie I've read so many pages in so many threads about the spinning logos, so much confused !!!
As asked and not answered before: Also as if the watch has never turned on the adb debugging before it got stuck on the spinning dots, is there still a way to connect to the watch to push the img files?
A patient expert to list the steps could brighten us and we'd be more then grateful.

Update: After so many days I managed to flash... My watch is working again; still no news from Huawei!!!
For newbies like I am, you have to know is you don't need to enable anything before you are stuck to google logos.
I just downloaded "adb-setup-1.4.3" and "Minimal ADB and Fastboot". Whenever the windows didn't recognize the watch I ran adb-setup which at the end asks for installing drivers and when I disconnect and connect the device, it worked.
After getting connected check if the watch is getting fastboot command by c:\fastboot devices. If you can see any letters and fastboot at the right you're ok to go.
You need to c:\Fastboot Oem Unlock which unlocks the watch and you're out of warranty. Just accept it.
Then follow the steps of skin1980 (thanks it was really great)) http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-watch/general/guide-return-to-stock-huawei-watch-t3219596
If you need "twrp" not written; just "swipe right" and follow the instructions of skin1980.
Boot Stuck Problem is over.
The watch is getting the updates right now but I guess I'll learn more and get to stock by the experts' help...
Thanks to you all...

Need some help. I just installed the latest Android Study, I installed the Android N preview SDK Preview platform. I get protocol failure when trying to push the system.img file.

When I try and boot into the stock recovery, the screen just flickers. Not sure what I am doing wrong?

I was having the same issue when you go to mount you will notice that the storage space is 0k
When you go to TWRP go to Wipe>Format Data> type "yes" hit Done now when you go to mount you should see the internal storage space go up to 2535 or something close to that. Now try following the steps of copying the system.img to /sdcard/ and then the adb push. mine copies the files and everything but when I try to reboot I get this quick flash in recovery. The Screen flicker is actually saying "error to mount '/cache/'

Here are the steps that I did which fixed my problem
Went back to TWRP and one of those options says fix permissions. I can't remember what it was under. Do that. it will give you a message saying you need to run boot and the retry.
Then go back to mount to see if it just allows you to put a x next to Cache if it does go back and format Go to format advanced and see if you can clear the cache only. I did that and it fixed my problem.

Use this link. https://developer.android.com/wear/preview/downloads.html
Scroll down to the Huawei watch
Choose the second download link to get MEC23L "Non-preview image (for after testing)"

Decompress it into your fastboot directory and use the flash-all.bat to restore to stock.

This is the Google watch image and is much easier.

hi
i managed to get mine working as well ! (Thanks to abhanli, pkt_lnt and skin180)

make sure you are in fastboot menu on your watch (holding the power button till switches off and the pressing again after vibrates)

most important thing next is to press shift and right click anywhere in the adb folder on your computer, and then run command prompt from there, otherwise adb will not load up and you will think that you have just run a dodgy script !

unlock your bootloader (typing "Fastboot Oem Unlock" in the command prompt in adb folder)

then you can use steps of skin180 (link above)
OR
https://developer.android.com/wear/preview/downloads.html

scroll down to huawei watch and choose second download option (non preview image for after testing) (thanks pkt_lnt)

extract into your adb folder (located in c:\)
then using the command prompt in adb folder, navigate to that extracted folder (using dos commands)
then if you are on windows, type "flash-all.bat"

hey presto - will work !
when it reboots, you may think "darn it still has spinning dots !" but if you wait about 5-10 mins it progresses past that stage and comes up with welcome screen !

My watch is working again !
HUAWEI customer services are a pile of POO. Their repair centre in UK is waste of time. They never answer the phone and never reply to messages.
If the Huawei watch wasnt so beautiful, i'd never bother with them !

Good luck and thanks all.
