I've got a few questions...coming from a stock B160 trying to flash the B180 from the second post, I noticed a few things...

No matter what I do, it wipes the phone as if it's out of the box, is this normal?

Also, I noticed that in the zip it has 2 systemapps.tar.gz files, one of which includes VpnDialogs which I need in order to be able to use OpenVPN, but it doesn't show up even after flashing it...any ideas?

I'll try and keep this short and to the point. If you unlocked your bootloader and flashed TWRP and SuperSU, theirs a Good chance your phone will not return to stock and take OTA updates. Many of us have tried but for some reason the updates just fail.

Well we are lucky and someone captured and posted the 3 known updates and I'm going to show you how to flash them

New ~ All in One ~ update Instructions in Post 2

We now have a new way to do this, So the information below is just for information sake So bare with me while I get the Guide updated...

Other Files you may need

H1611.TWRP.New.img <<- This is the New Twrp by yuweng I Highly recommend everyone use this Version

minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.4.1_setup.exe

Huawei_Android_phone_drivers(1).rar

After flashing and debloating, flashing Magisk I've noticed I am unable to use ANY vpn services. Also, the option to allow vpn apps to draw over other apps is grayed out.

As long as I've been a member, you and madvane have been straight beasts on here. Keep up the good work guys. This worked perfectly. I don't even question or further research your work. As soon as I get off work I'll be donating to you both. Thanks

Need Stock Boot Img

Does anyone have a copy of the stock boot img? I've searched and all I can find are references to the boot but not the actual img itself.Doesn't matter which version as long as it's completely untouched.I don't want to have to download the whole package.I appreciate it in advance.

Hello,

I flashed full B180 update today. However, my device won't boot.
I followed your instruction to extract the file, and flash boot img to the boot partition.

Do I need to flash boot img to a different partition?

Thank you very much for your help.

Update: I kept repeating turn off and reflash like 5 - 6 times, finally it reboot to the B180rom. Thanks again.

I'm using the B180 stock and I got an unlock code but when I put a metro pcs simcard in I don't get asked for an unlock code or anything, the notification bar just says no service and there is the signal icon with an x over it .

I would check the APN settings
You may need a tmobile sim for it to ask for unlock code

Metro PCS is Tmobile though so I figured it would ask for a code. And I looked at APN when I had the Metro PCS sim in and it showed Metro PCS info but I think it wasn't editable and all the info grayed out.

I was thinking the same thing but the only sim I have access to is the Metropcs one from my Girlfriend's phone.

I used the dialer code *#*#2846579#*#* that I found on a youtube video and it shows SIMLOCK_DEACTIVE so has me thinking maybe it was sim unlocked but idk why it won't register with metro pcs.

I just unlocked the bootloader and nothing else. Says this device is unlocked and can't be trusted. Never did any flashing before. Could someone guide me what to do next?

Yeah it was already sim unlocked... metro pcs is the first tmobile/att mvno that requires you to notify them when you when put your simcard in other phones. I've always just put them in a phone and they would work but not with metro pcs.

It's all sorted now thanks.

Thanks to @goesham2 I was browsing around and found the dload firmware for this phone
it's the older B160 but it should work to return you phone to stock

hxxps://easy-firmware.com/home/browse/category/id/25781/

See my post here for instructions >> https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76902495&postcount=86
using the above instructions you need the Stock recovery for your phone NOT the one for the Elate !

@divineBliss @madvane20

I used the one for my Elate and it Removed the warning at bootup and relocked the bootloader
Too bad it took over a year for this file to finally surface
