I'm in the same boat, but no one seems to answer/know why.. I'm going crazy myself with a bad flash. Do make a back up and move it to your computer!

You have to open a dos command prompt not double click on update.bat.

I did that already, opened cmd with admin rights and cd / to location then opened file and nothing just closed straight away.. Maybe file is corrupt?

Then check with the provided MD5-Hash .
A batch is just a textfile, if you can edit it and it shows you gibberish, then somethings wrong.
Just downloaded my file again to check for corruption, everythings fine. So it seems the problem is on your side.

Hi, I have rebranded months ago my p10 VTR-L09 (Single SIM) to VTR-L29C432B171 (dual SIM) version (this version im using now). My question is that is possible to upgrade to oreo VTR-L29C432B365 (Full OTA)? I need to rebrand again? please help!!!

No, you don´t need to rebrand, just use update in hwota and you will be fine. Because your just updating, one flash is enough.
Just keep in mind you have to reopen the bootloader and in this case the device makes factory reset, so save your data first.

is that update for the 360 that i have now ?... if so,if i dont see it in update manager,is it cuz im rooted and custom kernel ?

EDIT:...I think theres a more suitable update for the 360...named 365 from 21st... If i check with IMEI it says not suitable... (is cuz im from L09 canada/Rogers) and im re branded L29 ?

If you wanna update via firmware finder then try the proxy way, even tho if your IMEI not ready for the update it wont update so it's better if you install the nocheck recovery for vtr and then download the update and force it to update via three button method . If not you will recieve your update till Huawei releases the update for you IMEI batch.

According to the other huawei devices, they just updated to the latest google security patch.

There is some system improvements also and optimized UI elements in some cases in short.

Seems you placed the hwota in some directory where your current user has no full rights. Try placing the hwota folder on root of your C-Partition (e.g. C:\hwota).
If that doesn´t work try another pc, it still could be a cygwin-bug.

I have a VTR-L09C432 on B185, but on Firmware Finder, the only B380/B385 that say they're approved with my IMEI are the VTR-L29C432 firmwares. Will I need to rebrand for this firmware, or will it work straight away?

No you don´t have to, because you already have the stockphone.
Just use replace the files in hwota\update with this ones and rename them correspondingly:

When the running the script choose "update" instead of "rebrand".

Maybe in your (norebrand-)case it´s better to use the update procedure from Jannomag:

P.S. There is no B380/385 for this phone, the latest version is B365

I've been able to get through all of step one, with the exception of not being able to find the OEM Unlock option even after accessing Developer Options. There are other users who did unbrand their AL-00, just PM them.
If i remember correctly you must alter the script also, because AL-00 has a different partionlayout.

B120 is the firmware version. C432 is for international version. L09 is single sim. L29 is dual sim. Both is compatible. B120 to B180 is Android Nougat (for L29 as L09 got B202 vers). B360 is Android Oreo.

I understand the version codes, I am just unsure of the mapping between them when updating.
So to upgrade to Oreo from L09 C432 B120 I flash the L29 B432 B360 because B365 seems to be causing problems?

But in the Settings the Model is the same L09 but dual sim is working. ?

Now i want to Update to Oreo. So i can flash the C432B365 L29 or?
I only ask because in the settings the model is still L09 but Dual Sim works. Is this unimportend?
