Wont open,it says could not find /tmp,please create

Any ideas?
Put the hwota folder in the root of c: (c:\hwota).
If you try to run from c:\progam files\hwota for instance, the script doesn´t have the rights to create the tmp-folder.
Also remember to run cmd with right-click "run as admin".

hello, this page doesn't seem to work anymore... any ideas? how can i get my unlock code?
thanks!
Apparently Huawei discontinued the possibility to unlock bootloaders. In a tweet, FunkyHuawei suggested that this is because too many users bricked their phones. Hopefully this is only a temporary situation.

For F**k sake. They already strechted my nerves after releasing the P20 without sdcard-option, no longer flat backside no headphones jack (even aptX sucks in comparison to the headphonejack and i won´t carry this adapternonsense with me).
First i was using Samsung devices, than LG and Huawei, which all are now ruined cause they cut specs, like no QI and non removable battery.
I already gave up hope, that future devices have a removable battery. But no sdcard, no headphonejack and no qi and those pesky glasspanels (without QI) on the back which break and suck fingerprints?!?

Seems my next phone will the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s. At least they are the only firm, who don´t cut features and make their phones actually better from generation to generation. The glass panel at least makes sense, because it has buildin QI.
I hope it stays that way, otherwise smartphones are way more dead than declared. For obvious reasons.

Thanks Huawei for nothing and thank you idiots who break the phones by their own fault and blame huawei for that by demanding warranty.
i will no longer maintain the thread, till Huawei comes to senses (or there are less idiots, which will of course never happen)!

Thanks, cheers and till hopefully soon.

guide:
- install APP DC Huawei Bootloader Codes on your smartphone (google play)
- buy 3,99€ credit from the app
- you'll receive username/password
- download software DC unlocker client from https://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads
- follow the guide https://www.dc-unlocker.com/how-to-read-huawei-bootloader-unlock-code

Update from a recent live chat:

Tech support:

What happened is that in the European region many users unlocked the bootloader and were not able to use the device properly because they modified the ROM settings and software and wanted the repair center to give service.

Sadly the temp page is a dissappointment. They might say 24hrs but it's a joke. Apparently they can only fill a limited of number of requests per week. Or at least that's the reason they give. Oh well, OEMs breaking promises is the only reliable thing they do.
Ok cool cats I got the idea from a comments section and it worked so I thought it should post it here. Contact Huawei via live chat on the UK site. They'll ask for your info and get back about 24hrs later with the code. Hope this helps. No chance with the north america sites.

Many thanks for the guide Lwanna.

FYI, I've just done a Oreo (VTR-L29C635B360) to Oreo rebrand using your HWOTA bundle and the guide in the Mate 9 thread.

Just so people are aware, for me the process doesn't work exactly as outlined in that thread:

- Repack.bat threw one error/warning ('function not supported' or similar) during execution, but indicated that the script had run OK at the end. I decided to risk proceeding with using the repacked files and they worked OK.
- The bootloader didn't re-lock at any point in the process, and I didn't need to re-install TWRP except at the end of the process.
- I didn't need to perform the 'downgrade' procedure a second time - in fact, the eRecovery installer threw an error when I tried to (maybe because of the unlocked bootloader?). Does anyone know what the second flash achieves that a factory reset doesn't?

I was bit sceptical that this would work, but everything seems to be running OK.

Hello guy,

I am not the complete beginner but I think i bricked my VTR-L09:( Maybe you can helb me to get it back to normal operation:?!

I tried to Rebrand Oreo to Oreo from the newest Vodafone Stock Rom. Something went wrong and not the Built No. is: 8.0.0.046(04TB) and IMEI: Unknown.

Is there a way to get back to original state? I was coming from B375 I think...
Thanks in advance for any tips / help.

GOT IT!!!!!

My fault was:

1. Download: @AndroidFileHost: HWOTA8_P10_B369a (Oreo) (MD5-Hash: fd330a74d22d2ef55a02bfcfdcea33ee )
All important files are inside this package!!
2. The steps for the this procedure are described here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mat...ckage-t3699522
....
Rebrand
A. Put Put hwota8_rebrand.zip and "OEMINFO.bin" (From HWOTA) into SDCard HWOTA8 directory.

the VTR-L29C432.bin has to be renamed to OEMINFO.bin in step REBRAND.... i always did this with the .bin named like in the downloaded package... Maybe someone can edit this step / put in the info to rename the VTR-L...bin to OEMINFO.bin.

Another question: is it possible to lock the bootloader or do something else to get updates from huawei over the Settings menue again?

Thanks in advance!

As long as you keep the OEMinfo backup, you will be able to unbrick your phone, look for guides on xda there are plenty of them. Good luck!
