GOT IT!!!!!

My fault was:

1. Download: @AndroidFileHost: HWOTA8_P10_B369a (Oreo) (MD5-Hash: fd330a74d22d2ef55a02bfcfdcea33ee )
All important files are inside this package!!
2. The steps for the this procedure are described here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mat...ckage-t3699522
....
Rebrand
A. Put Put hwota8_rebrand.zip and "OEMINFO.bin" (From HWOTA) into SDCard HWOTA8 directory.

the VTR-L29C432.bin has to be renamed to OEMINFO.bin in step REBRAND.... i always did this with the .bin named like in the downloaded package... Maybe someone can edit this step / put in the info to rename the VTR-L...bin to OEMINFO.bin.

Another question: is it possible to lock the bootloader or do something else to get updates from huawei over the Settings menue again?

Thanks in advance!
Just relock your phone through fastboot mode, it will factory reset your phone and then it will lock it, this should make it go back to the state it was originally.

Ok, so I somehow got a P10 with Middle East firmware (VTR-L29C185), but I live in Europe and I think i'm facing network issues because of that. Can someone tell me what steps to follow to get the VTR-L29C432 (Europe) firmware on it ?
I already filled out the Huawei form on the official website (https://www.emui.com/en/plugin/unlock/index) to get my unlock code, but it didn't work (I made a thread on that). I sent a mail to them and apparently I will get my unlock code via email in the next few days.

PS: I'm on Oreo

I would really appreciate your help. Thanks !

Hello,
I would like to rebrand my P10. Currently customized by Orange Slovakia VTR-L09, build VTRL09C109B173. I want to debrand to EU (C432). I have read possible methods, but Im not 100% sure what method should/can I use.
I know I have to switch from L09 (single SIM) to L29(dual SIM).

I have already unlocked BL and TRWP is installed. Can I just go this way?:

1.) download HWOTA package: HWOTA_P10_B369a (Oreo)
2) follows this instruction:
STEP 3 (Optional Update Method 1)
If you have already unlocked your bootloader und installed TWRP, you can also use this method to install the new system update (Don´t try it if you are running oreo or wan´t to install it!! There is no stable und fully functioning version of TWRP for Oreo yet!!!):

1. Make a complete backup of your current system via twrp and save the backup to sd or your pc.
2. Download one of the Huawei P10_HWOTA files from above, save it on your device and unzip it
3. Navigate to the update folder in the HWOTA-folder and copy the 3 files to your device (sdcard recommended)
4. Now Boot your device into TWRP
5. In TWRP flash "update.zip" and don´t reboot!!!
6. Flash "update_all_hw.zip" and don´t reboot!!!
7. Flash "update_data_public.zip"
6. Wait until all files are flashed
7. Done! Reboot TWRP

Thanks.

Ok, done! But it was not exactly as described. I tried it maybe 5 times untill I was finally able to boot system, but there was a strange version:
ONYX D188
D188-L09
NRD90M test-keys
EMUI 3.1, Android 5.1

I selected "Rebrand" before.

Then I did it again, again as "Rebrand" and then I update started. After restart (manually, because it didnt restar itself) Oreo booted:

I dont understand this point:
20. If you are rebranding your device with this method, you have to do the whole "STEP 2" again in order to flash the new system files correctly
How can I do whole STEP 2 again as TRWP was replaced with original recovery when update was finished?

I want to update to Oreo but when I checked with the IMEI for firmware compatibility, the app said it wasn't approved.
Is it normal that it gives approvation if I check without IMEI?
Do I have to wait or do I have to try again the debranding process (C55 to C432, maybe the main reason because this is happening)?

Thanks in advance to anyone that will respond!

Hi i am new to this forum, i have followed this tutorial and have flashed my p10 l09 successfuly with the firmware provided, I have the dual sim options in my settings but it still says l09 in the settings, is this right? Also is this the same as a debrand? I just wanted to unlock the phone but am getting a bit confused now, any help would be appreciated.
Cheers!

K, now we are talking. Only thing you can do is flash your rom back to stock the semi-official way:

Download the firmware finder from the playstore.
Search for your device (not the one you want rebrand to) and check with IMEI in Firmware Finder just to be sure. Here you have a guide: Firmware Finder Tutorial
If you prefer reading, you can also follow this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/how-to/guide-update-p10-via-firmware-finder-app-t3674477
Then you should be back to normal. When it´s finished you can try again, just be really sure following the steps and do no extra steps!! ....for Instance wiping something after you installed TWRP ;)
You can try the dload method instead, but i recommend doing it via firmwarefinder, simply cause it will work.
I want to ask some questions regarding dload method:
1. Why I always failed every time I tried?
2. What type of format I need to choose when I formatting the SD card? Tried the default (FAT32) but I can't transfer the UPDATE.APP to the SD card. I'm always use exFAT format because someone recommend it. Now I can copy the files but still failed.
3. When downloading firmware from FF pc links, it have 3 zip files. Do I need to choose only update.zip or all 3 updates?
4. When extracting the rar file, do I need to copy all files in dload folder or only UPDATE.APP?
5. If I need all 3 zip files, is it to copy all files from 3 extracted folder into single dload folder?
6. What a recommended firmware to install since I've tried multiple firmware and failed?

You should receive an OTA notification and you can easily update after that. It may take some time as Huawei's update management seems rather erratic. In Nougat and early Oreo versions, the Firmware Finder app can also trigger the update. It is clearly explained in the app and here on XDA how that works. Note that you must turn off the DNS or proxy after the download has begun (so pause it after at 1% or so, and resume after you have turned off manual DNS/proxy).
Your brand remains the same irrespective of the updates, it will stay L29B432 until you rebrand it again.
